Been wanting to get one arranged for a very long time.... But i've been scared to get one arranged for a very long time.

Can anyone give some advice etc on having it done?
Did it hurt?
Did it hurt after?
Any long term issues after having it done?

I want to be put to sleep, but i've spoken to a few, and they all say was just local anesthetic.

It’s not as bad as it sounds Jarmo, I was worried before having mine done but needn't have been worried, yes the needle is sore but then you don’t feel anything after that (just slight tugging from the doctor) it’s over with quite quickly and the recovery time is quick, I was bruised for a round 3-4 days afterwards.

If you're feeling really macho, jog home afterwards.  ;)

I'm in the same boat as Jarmo. Covid lockdowns have given me an excuse not to pluck up the courage for a while now.

It's not that bad at all. Bit weird but soreness after was pretty minimal for me.

I'd compare it to the dentist. Worse bit is the injection then it's a bit uncomfortable but you're numb so not painful.

Had mine done over 40 years .

All i remember is i was black and blue down there but it did not stop me having my nookie the same night.

Went to a doctors surgery in Lincoln for mine, bit sore for a couple of days. Took some paracetamol for about 48 hours but local anaesthetic is fine.

Covid sorted me right out in that regards to be fair!

I've spoken to drs, who put me through for referral.

They did ask a strange question:
What would i do if 1 of my 2 children die....

As if i would just replace them  ;D ;D ;D

You should have said with a serious demeanour and dead pan delivery

‘well it depends entirely on which one Doctor, do you mean the youngest or eldest!?’

….watch them squirm to see if you were indeed serious or not.

Mine was fine.... a local and then a bit of soldering on the loose ends

They did it on a Thursday afternoon, was told to wear speedos for a couple of days (so over the weekend) and then back to work on the Monday

The only issue I had was the (ex) Mrs said it would mean more sex.... she lied!   ;)

That last sentence makes it sound like you speak from experience 😆

No need for a vasectomy for me, I find the combo of being ugly and having a ‘dad bod’ as the perfect contraceptive method available!

Recommended. Avoids having more (unwanted) children to bring up.  Especially when you want to have more free time and money to enjoy life.

As long as you already have children to look after you in old age and/or pick a good care home for you.  😉

I was sent by my GP practice to Marie Stopes (private) in Leeds.  Some minor discomfort only, as others have said.  You get long term benefit and peace of mind.  And your wife is happy, so more football matches and footy on TV.

It’s easy and painless . Small incision , cut the tubes , bend them back and cauterise them. On the nest the same night ! (Against recommendation).  No more kids, and if your wife is taking the pill then it’s not supposed to be healthy to take it for too long.

Get it done

Ha ha! No. But I’ve worked with lawyers a fair bit. I am a pedant to be fair though so I suppose it comes naturally to me.

They can try and reverse it, but no guarantee of success.

With your username I’m not sure I’m taking your advice in relation to de-pubing a scrotum!😜

My wife used to be a HCA during minor surgeries, including vasectomies and often had to Bic mens balls.

I've just got the ball rolling (pun intended) for the snip and I am waiting for a consultation with the Doctor that will be doing it. At least my wife will be able to confirm if I need a Bic or not when it comes to it.

How long do you have to go before you can masturbate after the procedure... asking for a friend.

you have to masturbate or ejaculate  daily  for a month before taking a sample in to make sure all your swimmers are gone

Unless you've got private healthcare, in which case they can send somebody round to do it for you.

I had my tubes done 2 years ago, if they get it right its pretty easy going to be fair.
Unfortunalty i had a mare lol . pulled the tube out then went to fry it it and it cant have been numbed as i hit roof lol

Anyway they renumbed it and it was great for a few days with the old tight y fronts on until the right nut started swelling up to the size of a cricket ball, bloody heamatoma.  2 weeks of work then all good. right gonad still biggerr thos but all done now.

It was rough for me but im sure 99% of them go really well and routine.

They don't let you out of the room until you've cracked one out.
