Am I the only one encouraged by the silence from the club since the Shutes Consortium released their statement on Saturday evening. Very un-Fenty like to let someone else have the most recent say. I know it’s been Sunday and a bank holiday Monday, but I’m starting to feel optimistic that the silence is because talks are taking place and a deal is being done.

I think the deal will be done, but it may take another 2-3 days to get over the line.

It's preferable to statement tennis as at least there is hope

They have got JF in Checkmate. He either topples his queen and accepts he's lost, or he picks up the pieces and runs off with them back to BP Towers. I'm still not convinced he will sell. Hope I'm wrong.

Can't let myself get my hopes up for them to come crashing down.

In his three stints as Grimsby Town manager spanning over 10 years the club was never relegated and he also guided them to three promotions.
Only 14 managers have reached 1,000 matches in charge of a Football League team by 1998 and Buckley is one of them.

I fear the same. There's nothing he can say that won't make him look even more of a divvy, but I don't think he wants to relinquish power. Suspect he's at home, sitting on his cards, no idea what to do next. It's time for Philip Day to do what he's paid to do and move things forward.

Don’t think it is positive. Team Fenty have been on here today raising questions that appear designed to give him a way out (excuse) of accepting the offer.

Through the door there came familiar laughter,
I saw your face and heard you call my name.
Oh my friend we're older but no wiser,
For in our hearts the dreams are still the same.
