I think we have now sorted out our defensive problems. The signings are what we have and I hope they gel enough for the Accrington game. I've read some criticism of some of the signings but we have to be fair to them, as we don't know what they will be like till they play.

Give them 3/4 games and then we can tell. As I said we have strengthened the defence we had so we should avoid relegation. It may be a close thing but playing those clubs around us should give us the chance to move up.

Curtis Thompson’s great ancestors were Egyptian 😉

Deal didn’t happen hence why hunt was kept on. But definitely one the club will look to try again for in the summer.

I reckon that we might see Mullarkey as a centre-back on occasion during the rest of the season, especially if injuries require it. He's certainly big enough, so we'll have to see if he's good enough as well.

There’s the slightly problematic aspect that he can’t defend.

He can't defend very well as a full-back against nippy wingers. Playing in the centre of defence is an entirely different position and he'd probably be less exposed in that regard. You often find central defenders who can cover as full-back to a point, but not very many successful full-backs who can play centrally anywhere near as effectively.

I suspect that injuries will decide how much we see of him for the rest of the season.

Are we still able to sign loan (am guessing not) players and what’s the prerequisite for players to come in on a free?

Players without contract as of now or yesterday can be signed until full window closes in March, I think….

Sorry but I just feel that DA is a massive 🐮 💩 er. I can only take everything that comes out of his mouth with a pinch of salt too.

What really concerns me is that out of all the players he has recruited so far, only one (Doug Tharme) has worked with him before. I’m struggling to understand why those previous players aren’t tempted by working with him again.

I really really hope I’m proven wrong but I have a huge suspicion that I won’t be.

Apologies but I just don’t like the guy and can only see him taking us down.

Looks like you're planning to be to DA, what denni was to Hurst.

You'll just keep complaining, blaming when it's bad, and when it's good, shut up waiting for an opportunity to have a dig. Most probably won't even read your posts as they'll just see the name and assume the post contains negatives.
