I wonder how many realised what had actually happened as long ago as that. I didn't until I read that series of articles on Cod Almighty. Certainly not what was going on in the early days.

To me this Cod Allfrighty is a sour puss! Has had a bee in his rrrrrrr for some reason, possibly as to why he is not chairman, or could ever be one.

This thing about a previous bored member is getting a tad tired now, time to move on.

It’s about time this all stopped now. It’s just getting boring and it’s time to move on FFS.

The man has gone.

The guy’s a complete tōōl and it should never be forgotten. All of us make mistakes. Mistakes are part of life, learning and self improvement. However, you can’t make that many mistakes and bizarre (and that’s putting it kindly) decisions unless you are incompetent, corrupt or a complete cûnt.

We will live with His mistakes for another generation, maybe longer. So forgive those of us who struggle to forget the cretin.

Sorry John I think you’re wrong. How’s Liverpool by the way? Hear it’s a great place to live.

By the way what is his ‘rrrrrrrrr’? Is that pronounced ‘Rs’?

Through the door there came familiar laughter,
I saw your face and heard you call my name.

Alarmed to hear that Honest John might be in Liverpool. Hope someone has warned him that it's not really the sort of place for an upright, straight-as-a-die businessman like him - full of dodgy builders, shady property developers, fraudsters and million pound tax evaders

Or in Fenty's case all three. Allegedly.

The thing about fans not objecting at the time is an interesting point.

There were those who did object, and it seems, in retrospect, like they were in the minority. A few knew what Fenty was doing at the time. A fleeting article on Cod Almighty apart, it never gained traction.

There were certainly plenty who were apathetic and were happy to go with the flow.

Let's also not ignore the fact that Fenty controlled the communication. He sold the story his way, so we all absorbed the things he wanted us to hear. Propaganda, if you like.

Sadly, and it's no real criticism of anyone, there wasn't a large enough faction of fans to start a movement against him. The vast majority of us just didn't know enough, even though the facts were out there all the time — possibly because we all had busy lives. There are more important things in life than football, after all.

Only when something breaks do we read the terms and conditions. The Alex May incident was, for many, the breaking point. That's when we rose as a collective. Too late? Well, for our Football League status, maybe.

For our existence? No, thank goodness.

Armed with the hindsight and knowledge we have now, I bet we all wish to turn the clock back so we could have got rid of him sooner (or not had him at all in the first place).

But what's done is done. He'll get money he doesn't deserve; the club and all its fans and communities suffer as a result, and so this 1878 era is one of repair — of both finances and trust.

Onwards and upwards from here, that should be our focus now.

Having just been down Humberston Av, I can tell you that the very expensive, slightly scratched Mercedes is in the drive. And no, I wasn't stalking!

Would you feel happy parking it up in Liverpool ?

The wife was going away for a girly weekend.
I jokingly remarked  'I don't know whether to spend it watching porn or watching football'
'you may as well spend it watching porn' she replied
That's understanding darling what makes you say that? I asked

She said 'Well you already know how to play football'

I’d feel happy if he did 😉
