Spotted sooner … we had nearly twenty years of shite , people just accepted it and when some did make some noise like protesting in the car park they were slagged off.

To be fair though, when The Leech stumped up the money when a certain Grocer wanted his money back IMMEDIATELY even if the club went under then I never heard any objections from the fans.

I read that it was more to do with club politics than demands from a grocer. To me more like a fishmonger singing a Frank Sinatra number 'My Way'.


You can please some of the forumites some of the time but not all the forumites all of the time

Maybe but like I said I don't recall any of criticism of his actions. Not defending him but no fans thought anything wrong in it.

No one criticised his actions maybe, but there were several who were already concerned about his plans for the club.

Alas I forgot about the nice grocer, who’s derelict store is opposite what was the Clee Park!

I wonder how many realised what had actually happened as long ago as that. I didn't until I read that series of articles on Cod Almighty. Certainly not what was going on in the early days.
