So, according to JSF, Tom Shutes, a well respected business man and philanthropist, is unsuitable to own GTFC but a convicted fraudster sentenced to 6 years in prison is fine.

The only reason this guy is being entertained and Shutes wasn’t is because Shutes wouldn’t let Fenty remain on the board. Whereas this convicted fraudster has made millions out of telling people what they want to hear. A man with an ego the size of Fenty’s is not difficult to read or to massage his over-inflated sense of self worth. A perfect target for a fraudster. “Of course I want you to stay involved, you’ve done such a wonderful job John and are integral to the club”.

Why would a convicted fraudster be interested in investing in a football club? And more to the point, why on earth would a football club entertain the notion of it?

Fenty is a joke.

We should of course remember that JF isnt in charge so it must have been Day who was doing any entertaining , if indeed there was any. Perhaps the guest was just after professional advice from Day on a legal matter

I think Fenty’s main issue with Shutes is probably his membership and significant donations to the Labour Party. For example, earlier in the year he donated £15,000 to Lisa Nandy’s leadership campaign.

Re: Shutes... if he still wants to buy the club now is the time. Fenty has scored a huge own goal allowing that man into the ground.

As I read it Shutes never gave assurances on funds to enable the club to keep operating. In fact if he was to provide that proof then according to Day "the door is still open". But of course  all the conspiracy theorists put there own spin on the situation.
