I find it absolutely mind blowing that our majority shareholder and chairman, who both purport to be Grimsby Town fans, could consider allowing a convicted fraudster to invest in the club.

A shambles all round. Ok, so the guy has served his time, and deserves a "second chance" of sorts. BUT he was convicted for fraud, and was not exactly a young lad who got caught up in something, he was in charge of the whole thing.

A convicted fraudster has no place anywhere near the running of or investment into a football club. His dirty money has no place being associated with our club.

I'd rather see us go non-league than see this happen.  Will reserve judgment on him being at the game until the club releases some information on why he was there, and who's guest he was. However, if he was a guest of the board then that is ill-judged, especially when our own fans can't get inside the ground.

Imagine having the brass neck to refuse to sell the club to someone like Shutes under the guise of being “custodians” of the club, and then courting a convicted fraudster.

So that’s a convicted fraudster and a ticket tout that have been tapped up by certain members of the board - clearly their lack of competence is matched only by their lack of morals. I wouldn’t be surprised to see this thread disappear like some of the others discussing this issue.

As for this crook having served his time, Gary Glitter “served his time” - I still wouldn’t let him babysit my kids.

On another note as a principled man would olly work for a club involved with this despicable fraudster. He may have served his time but those he fleeced probably suffered for years. As supporters how many of us would buy tickets to go while this person has any association with our club.
Have to see what develops or if there is any truth in the rumours. He could be attending as he is going into business with fenty on another venture
