Seem to remember the downward spiral that season coincided with the signings of Mick Halsall and Scott McGarvey

I don't understand why so many Hull fans were against a name change.

Their club badge is a TIGER;
The home shirt is black and amber stripes, like a TIGER;
For goodness sake, their nickname is the TIGERS.

Also an important fact that is overlooked... Hull is the River .... Kingston is the name of the City

Just had a thought. I think the kid in goal at Stoke that afternoon was called Lee Pratt.

Spot on Les. His only appearance. Lee was a contemporary of Tommy Watson and John McDermott in the junior ranks and was a good keeper if rather on the small side. But then so was Batch! He played for Louth for a few years I think.

When they got within 3 points of the play-offs, I thought that they might get out of the Championship.

I was right! 😏😁

That though eventually heralded AB1 so as the wheel turned downwards a legend was getting ready for us at Kettering.

Not sure why YD  - Eddy Howe comes across as as a good manager in charge of a small club punching way beyond it's weight & nice bloke to boot. Admit I know nothing about the ownership - may be dodgy?
