It's now on the BBC sport main page. Stevenage FC are receiving some unwanted publicity.

I await the statement from Stevenage somewhat as follows.
' After being made aware of complaints from visiting supporters,
Stevenage Football Club launched their own investigation'
We now appreciate the need to review the procedures for controlling/searching fans at the (whatever their ground is called). In light of recent events throughout Europe we accept that a small minority of our staff may have been over enthusiastic in their desire for the security and wellbeing of all supports at the match.  Our stewards will receive further training to ensure no such problems reocurr. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused to visiting supporters.

Etc etc.

Let's hope it doesn't get brushed under the carpet though.

The wife was going away for a girly weekend.
I jokingly remarked  'I don't know whether to spend it watching porn or watching football'
'you may as well spend it watching porn' she replied
That's understanding darling what makes you say that? I asked

She said 'Well you already know how to play football'

Good on the Trust for raising this issue.

If we don't say or do something, behaviour like this by so-called authority will continue, to the point where it's accepted behaviour and stewards think they can do this to everyone.

This is why we must not stop asking difficult questions to those in authority. Roll over or wait for someone else to make the complaint and the situation won't get resolved.

There comes a point when enough is enough. I've felt like I've been treated like a criminal when following Town at away games and it's about time something like this tells the rest of the world what happened and will hopefully garner some support from other fans who have been treated badly.

It was the 2 heavy stewards in the ground that went to two kids no older than 12yo to tell them to sit down when they were stood on the very back row. like it needed 2 of them to say that to the little lads. I was appalled by the behaviour on Saturday of the stewards
