No statement from our club really thought they may come out in support of the fans

Agree, surely a statement from GTFC is warranted here.

I'm no fan of our clubs PR believe me. But I think they need to leave this to the 'supporters' trust so in this case remain silent.
Besides, I think JF, RS and Co have enough to worry about trying to sort out what happens ON the pitch.

The wife was going away for a girly weekend.
I jokingly remarked  'I don't know whether to spend it watching porn or watching football'
'you may as well spend it watching porn' she replied
That's understanding darling what makes you say that? I asked

She said 'Well you already know how to play football'

Just catching up with this after work:

A statement of solidarity with the supporters might be appreciated but on balance I have to agree with Civvy that it probably is best to let the Trust run with it.

Despite not being there myself on Saturday I would like to thank the Trust for standing up for everyone who was there and Town fans in general. The Trust and Kristine are clearly doing their very best to stop the tarring of ALL Town fans with the same brush as a few who need to be ratted out of Town and football in general. The Bucks Police statement is very upsetting for them and us as a fanbase. Just what have they and we got to do to clear our name?

At least we've got the ever welcoming Notts force to welcome us next time. Credit where it is due to them mind, they were good at Notts County last season.

To be honest I think we have it about right. In her role as GTFC SLO Kristine is working behind the scenes and the Trust are doing what I've always believed they should be doing i.e. representing good people who are sick to the back teeth of being classed as somehow sub-human for the heinous crime of following their football team at considerable expense.

The aim of argument or discussion should not be victory but progress.

Quoted from TownSNAFU5
BBC news online:
Why do the police refer to "trouble at the Chesterfield v Town game"? And, I understand that there was no trouble anyway?  Hate to think what they would make of some previous Luton games or the recent Middlesbrough v Sheffield United serious crowd trouble.

Hertfordshire Police said it had not been contacted by supporters, but any complaints would be would "fully investigated".

The force said its officers were at the ground "due to intelligence regarding a previous game between Chesterfield and Grimsby Town, where there was public disorder and members of the public were injured".

It added that none of its officers were involved in any of the searches "which were carried out by stewards"

Media outlets who make reference to reports re Chesterfield should be made aware, as I found out on Saturday, that those reports are being challenged. The Hertfordshire Police is also inaccurate as I contacted them last night to complain about one of their officers last night and made clear reference to the wider context of what the stewards did.
