Some people are so nasty on here, don't you lot think all the abuse will affect him?
FFS people leave the kid alone you nasty sh1ts. Go and find a puppy to kick or whatever it is you do for entertainment.

I dont think i was being nasty to him fella. I just feel whilst he was justified to be upset at being taken off his continued 'sulk' showed a little immaturity. I dont read twitter so have made no comment on what is on there. At the end of the day he is a professional footballer- fan praise and criticism it part and parcell of his job. He'll need to get used to that and develop thick skin or he'll get nowhere.

Stuff like little sharp object is not going to help the lad.
I agreed that we needed a change at the time and unfortunately Southwell was sacrificed for the good of the team, ye he blew his top but rather that than accepting it and not giving a toss.
He's a young lad and was disappointed that's all it boils down to.
Is it the same sad people who abused Wood for giving away a free kick I wonder?

In his three stints as Grimsby Town manager spanning over 10 years the club was never relegated and he also guided them to three promotions.
Only 14 managers have reached 1,000 matches in charge of a Football League team by 1998 and Buckley is one of them.

should we have gone 3 at the back instead with 75 minutes or so left?? really ?).

What's your concern we'll concede more with 3 centre backs instead of 2 ?
If so it's debatable...

Admittedly we haven't played this formation (with additional wingbacks) but some thought the full backs hardly looked that great in a 442 anyway. Hatton looks a lot more useful further up the pitch IMO.

Not saying it wouldn't have been a brave decision or jaws wouldn't have dropped but it's very easy to panic or assume it would have meant disaster.
Even if it went wrong things are quickly forgotten in time once the manager gets things right.

Credit to them anyway - changing the midfield shows they acted quickly to improve the situation.

Credit to S & h. I don't see what they did wrong in the first place and reacted quickly to try and turn things round. How often have people on here criticised mangers for not making changes soon enough. These 2 have shown they will do what it takes to try and win a game and that has to be right. We may not agree with everything they do but on Sat changing was better than not changing. Just a pitty young Dale should lose out, but his time will come again. He needs to keep working hard and pushing his case. Clearly he had impressed the managers prior to the game to get a starting spot.

What's abundantly clear is that Shorty and Shouty don't seem to account for how the opposition might line up. I'd love to be proved wrong, but I don't see us getting promotion under their watch.

Why should we change our line up to suit the opposition ?

They should fear us and change their formation to try and contain us,

Being 3-0 down after 17mins is a one off, we have not let many  goals in this season

So we do not have a problem when all our players are fit,

Don't forget we had only one player playing out of this seasons normal  back 4 playing in their normal position on Saturday

Shows that we aren't a strong enough squad then. Miller for Pearson is a perfectly adequate replacement but Hatton for Wood and Wood for Thomas aren't. Similarly Southwell isn't Hannah and Elding is a waste of space but good enough to keep Cook out. Bearing in mind how long the managers have had, we're in a bit of a sorry state when three of our best players are players who don't belong to us.

I can not argue with your comments,

I think you are being a bit unfair really, Hearn is a massive loss and Pearson has struggled with fitness so it is fair enough that we have loans, the fact that they have added quality is a plus for me.
