Reading a few things tonight.

Rio Ferdinand not in squad due to doubts over fitness and ability to play more than a game per week.

First read Micah Richards and Peter Crouch will not be in it. But its since come out that Kyle Walker is likely to miss it through injury, so you'd think that's Richards back in?

And Durham off TalkSport reckons he's heard talk of Terry, Scholes, Zamora and Beckham being in the squad. Not confirmed by anyone. Hope this isn't true. If Beckham is in the squad I will lose all faith in Hodgson.

I think Durham was just trolling to be honest.

But it does look like Rio is definitely out, several papers going with it as their back page tomorrow. Seen a stat that Rio has only played 2 competitive games for England since November 2009, so its hardly a loss really.

Coles had a fantastic season in France and has become somewhat of a cult hero in Lille. Might be a good shout to bring in somebody who plays in a different league and has knowledge of a different style of football.

Terry for all his ills is head and shoulders above Rio as a defender, Richards omision is a suprise to me and I have my doupts about Zamora, however he is a Hunt type of forward who helped win the world cup for us in 66, and Hodgson does have an Alf Ramsey type of personality so who knows, Beckham`s inclusion in the squad is one for the Star alongside their headline of a London double decker bus sighted on the moon

GK: Joe Hart, Scott Carson, Rob Green.

DEF: Leighton Baines, Ashley Cole, Glen Johnson, Gary Cahill, Phil Jones, Joleon Lescott, John Terry, Micah Richards.

MID: Gareth Barry, Steven Gerrard, Frank Lampard, James Milner, Scott Parker, Theo Walcott, Ashley Young, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

ATT: Wayne Rooney, Danny Wellbeck, Andy Carroll, Darren Bent.

Of which only 2/3 player are world class, we have about as much chance of winning the Euro's as I do of having a threesome with Kelly Brook and Cheryl Cole.
