Feels like the time is right for everyone I reckon, go luck to the lad he came good when we needed him to on Sundays last May.

i can only echo others sentiments and wish him the very best of luck, and hope he goes on to even greater success (especially as we will have a sell on clause!).loved his performance at luton and the goal at crawley was just stunning (not forgetting wembley and braintree of course!) He owes us nothing, and whilst i think he may have benefitted by staying another 6 months with bignot and improving even further , i can see why he would want to grab such an opportunity (after all he could turn wigan and their ££££ down and then end up having a career ending injury in the next game)
personally i wonder if he will make it much further (and this isn't sour grapes). he's going to find it much much harder in the championship and how that will affect his frustration levels and his 'mental fragility' remains to be seen. by the latter point i mean that he doesn't seem to be pyschologically or mentally that strong; it doesn't seem to take much to knock his confidence or to get him frustrated or on a downer. increasingly as you go up the sporting scale the little bits of the jigsaw that are missing in an athlete become major problems, because you are up against people who are just as good as you, but may be mentally or physically stronger, or a bit quicker etc etc having said that by signing this deal bogle has gone a long way to making himself financially secure for life. even if he fails at wigan he will no doubt get signed by a decent div 1 club who will still be paying him at least £100k per year
one final point; A cut above connell and amond obviously but the best striker we've had since mendonca? (and how many years is that?)

Is this the best move for Bogle?
3rd bottom in the championship and the lowest scorers in the league.
they obviously have issue supplying the strikers as Will Grigg was scoring for fun in league 1 last season...
Hope i'm wrong and he manages to do well, but if he doesn't get off to a good start, we know he can lose his head and no goals will result in fans thinking he's no good for them

Good move for Omar? The answer has to be yes because he's signed a contract at Wigan. Good for GTFC? Yes, he was never going to stay, so with decent money in the bank, MB can plan early for the team to be less Bogle-centric. Good news that he left last night, we can now kick on and plan to play without him. Evolution of a new team should be the main objective this season. Keeping Omar would have only delayed it. Look forward to seeing the development of the new players over the next few weeks and months..

I do wonder what MB will have to say about this transfer, he seems to have been heavily involved in Omar's development professionaly and personally.
It seems they must have known, or planned for it hence signing Dyson but it does seem a funny move to make, relegation battle.

I think regardless of their position, they're still two leagues ahead of us. It's a massive boost from a career perspective, and if you have the self belief that Omar has, you feel you're in a good position to try and improve their fortunes and score some goals. Arguably he has nothing to lose - and could easily come back down to League 2 if he turned out to be out of his depth. I hope he goes on to great things. He clearly has the potential.
