Just heard that we are holding out for 1+ million for Bogle.

Wigan didn't look as if they were too interested, however, that has now changed.

Currently, they are favs and will put a 1+ million bid in + addons.

1,2 million Forrest bid rejected a few weeks ago.

It's a bit of a long hop from Jaap Stam saying he never heard of Bogle just last Thursday, to offering £1.5 million the following Monday.

My guess is that he won't be leaving this window.

Well if the telegraph is right we now have Hull, Swansea and Reading ready to make a bid,

That can only put the price up

If it goes down to the wire tomorrow night we might even get more than we wanted,

Hull and Swansea are desperate to stay up,

Reading are desperate to get back in the prem,

2 million is nothing to them.

I don't watch town regular but have mariners player... if I'm brutally honest I don't even think he's as good as people are saying... I say this because his form recently and his attitude from what I've seen (full game and extended highlights on MP) .. if we can get 1m or more I'll be very happy for the club to accept it. It's a big amount of money for our club and I think Asante can easily fill Bogle shoes once given time to settle into the squad and playing full time football.

Think it was Posh Harry on another thread who quoted the comments of his mate who is a Brighton scout and tend to agree that to play at Championship level he needs to add much more to his game, not least movement and teamwork but he is still relatively young and inexperienced. However, for most footballers much of this should come natuarally especially given he came up through a proffessional environment.

Either way it appears GTFC cant lose either a massive amount of cash or he stays until the end of the season, win/win.

yeah I kind of agree. for me If I was a scout of a team like Reading I'd have crossed his name off my list when I see him strolling around sulking like a baby.

Brentford have been interested for a while and have accepted an offer from Villa for Scott Hogan. They've gambled on lower league players like Andre Gray before with success, they might be tempted to test the water.

I would prefer him to stay but if he goes going somewhere sensible like a Brentford would be a decent move for the player. Agree about the development and that is required not just with his feet but also between his ears.

As a team the football needs to improve through the mid field so that we can see the best of him and support his development at the moment we are pretty sterile for one reason or another.

I think we'll be a better TEAM if Bogle goes, at the moment everything is played into Bogle when the majority of the time there are better option available.  Bogle's inability to play a simple pass to keep the attack fast flowing is holding the team back.

Why?

Tuton has gone and Jackson is on the way. Before Asante came we had 2 strikers really - Bogle and Yussuf. That's two short of the generally agreed 4 needed. Clearly he doesn't fancy Kayden Jackson. We needed Asante (or another striker) whether we keep Bogle or not. On that basis, if Bogle does go, we'll only have 3 strikers - Asante, Yussuf and Vernon for the remainder of  the season. Short.

In my opinion, Asante was signed because we needed another striker anyway. Not as a replacement for Bogle. If Bogle goes, we'll be thin.

4 Strikers is a must and yes I agree Asante was number 4 as Jacko despite doing a lot of running has had little impact, I liked his cross for the 2nd Bogle goal at Luton though.

Christ the guy has had one of the best goalscoring return before the window shuts that we've ever had. He scores the vast majority of our goals and he's 'not as good as people think'

Meanwhile Asante, who has barely kicked a ball for us can 'easily fill Bogles shoes'.

I swear some fans wouldn't know or appreciate a good player if he slapped them in the face.

The whole transfer window thingy is just overhyped to add to the so called excitement in the game.  It's nonsense in my view.

I wonder if the window could be challenged? Like Bosman and freedom of contract?

The game would be better if we went back to the way it was OR even you get your squad by 1st Aug and that's it until the season ends. You get injuries, loss of form etc, then throw in the kids!

IMO, Sell him now.

Get the money, and spend it wisely in the summer to mount a more realistic play-off push.

Bogle is a good player, but IMO, no way near championship quality.

If he keeps playing like he has done his last 2 games, no one will even want him in the summer.

I seem to remember keeping hold of Reddy when Leyton Orient? come knocking. he then got injured and retired.

We are a club that need money, and to sell Bogle now while his value is at the highest we will get for him, is the best option IMO.

I think we wouldn't have done, bearing in mind we were in the top 3 and battling for automatic promotion.

I will be checking Sky Sports Deadline Day for most of the next few hours so will keep you all informed if any news comes in.

At the moment Villa favourite to sign Hogan so they will not be after Omar,

Other news Clough turns down Forest to stay at Burton ,

RANGERS FC have put in a late bid in the race for Omar Bogle.. Can't see him going to Scotland though

Also been told Disley could be moving on loan to Lincoln till the end of the season with a few of a permanent deal.

Hey and I wouldn't mind 25% of the £40m (which is what Fulham will get for Dembele when he goes to Chelsea) we could repay Fenty's debts and some!

Jordan Ayew to Swansea so that rumour is dead. Rangers might be a good move for Omar when you look at some of the deadbeats playing in that league. Dembele is a strange one when you consider that he could have moved down the road for virtually nothing last summer.

On Talk Sport The Moose has just told the Nation (well a bit of it) that Hogan to Villa and Brentford in for Omar "Buggle who's been scoring a lot of goals for Grimsby" ? I have not got a clue who "Buggle" is.

I reckon Omar's staying.

Taken from the telegraph website:-

Sports Editor Trevor Green has just been talking with John Fenty, who had this to say on the subject of any incoming bids for Bogle:

"We have had nothing to consider at this moment.

"I will be delighted when the window closes, everyone settles down and we can get on with things.

"It is almost 2pm and I have no reason to believe, at this time, that anything will be done today."

Do we know how long for? Having lots players moping around coz they are not in the squad does nobody any favours.

From SKY website:

WIGAN SUBMIT BOGLE BID

Wigan have made a £750,000 offer for Grimsby striker Omar Bogle, according to Sky sources.

We understand the fee could rise to £1m with add-ons for the current leading scorer in Sky Bet League Two.

Grimsby have already rejected three bids in the region of £850,000 for the striker.

I'd take £1m with a £200k add-on if they stay up, similar sum when he scores 25 goals and when/if they get a promotion. These plus a 20% sell on clause and i would let him go

Why?

We don't need to sell.  Regardless of his recent form, we should not be looking to accept anywhere near that figure.  Ball is well and truly in our court on this one.

I wouldn't say anything now but see what happens in the remaining 6 hours of the window, who knows it could rise to £1.5m before close of play.

Dear Wigan your player was not worth 7 million so if you want Omar you can keep 5 million and give us the other 2.

I believe it's only in our court for this window 1mill plus add ons  snap someone's hand off !!
We paid 30-50k plus 700-800 pw over 18 months equates to 100k roughly +20% to moors =300k
Then go and find the next nugget

Which teams are (realistically) going to make an approach. I would say only prem clubs (if any) would be Sunderland and hull, preparing for next season in the championship.

A whole host of championship clubs excluding villa, Fulham, Brighton, Leeds, Bristol city, and wolves, with also reading, Newcastle and Derby doubtful. That leaves very few clubs that would be likely to sign him.

£1m I think is a bargain and think we would sell for £1.5m  plus add-ons.

Apart from omar we don't score many do we? What's our next top scorer got? Selling him and it is effectively writing off this season unless Asante immediately starts banging them in and surely Asante would take time to adjust. In all honesty tho I think 1 million + add ons + sell on percentage would be enough to take him, it is a huge amount of money for Town. Our entire playing staff budget in the conference was about 800k wasn't it? Probably too good to turn down i'd have thought. And means MB has money to spend in the summer when players become available without a fee.

Where are the goals going to come from, was a question I heard a lot last summer when Amond left. Somehow, against all the odds, we scored goals.

It might actually re-balance the side having to play as a team instead of relying on Bogle as our single reliable outlet. I'm not saying it will, but it's possible.

I really hope he doesn't go. However, if he does, it should be for a club record, given today's inflated transfer market.

Can anyone recall what this is at the moment - £1.7m for John Oster?

Heard all but done now to Wigan.

Wigan waiting for the transfer of Yanic Wildschut to go through before finalizing the deal (from a players mouth).
Heard we are also bringing in a young lad from Everton in on loan.
Not heard the fee mentioned but all I can hope is that Omar doesn't think the contract is good enough and stays. UTM.

The point is not what we think Omar is worth - poss £500k?? - it's the silly money flying around in football
This means we should not accept anything less than £1,5m

I don;t think he will go anywhere 'in this window' as MB says

30 goals in L2 and then sell him for £3m!

Totally agree - from what I've seen in recent weeks, the more he's scored, the greedier he's got.

If he's going to watch a game tonight you would've though he would go to watch Luton v Cheltenham.

Why?

We don't need to sell.  Regardless of his recent form, we should not be looking to accept anywhere near that figure.  Ball is well and truly in our court on this one.

Why? Because, IMO, he isn't worth anything like the numbers bandied about.

His record speaks well, his game doesn't. Just my view

I jokingly remarked  'I don't know whether to spend it watching porn or watching football'

That's understanding darling what makes you say that? I asked

I have a horrible feeling that this is a done deal, checked Twitter and without an account it takes some trawling through but a couple are suggesting £1.4m which isn't bad is it?

Apparently there has been a balls up on Sky Sports with someone announcing that we are signing Omar for £1m

I'll presume it's really Wigan but twitter is full of Forest, Leeds and Reading fans who want him

Wigan have signed former Sunderland striker Mikael Mandron from Eastleigh for an undisclosed fee. The 22-year-old has penned a two-and-a-half year deal.

Think that points to Bogle staying?

A very big Premier League Club is about to put a massive bid in for Omar in the next hour or so to blow away the other bidders I have been reliably informed, Omar deserves the chance to play on the big stage.

I hope he stays too. Even if he is inconsistent as if he goes now we have no chance of bringing anyone else in to score the goals and unless somebody else steps it up I cant see where we are going to get the goals from.

My gut feeling is that there may well be some late drama yet.

Deals have supposedly been agreed for Wigan's Wildschut and Brentford's Hogan and yet nothing's gone through.

It's almost like something else is holding those deals up...

We'll be unveiling our new sponsor too who have spotted a branding opportunity. It's directory enquiries for dyslexics.

Through the door there came familiar laughter,
I saw your face and heard you call my name.
Oh my friend we're older but no wiser,
For in our hearts the dreams are still the same.

Bogle to Wigan is the shout on Twitter

"Falls to Arnold... Arnold! That's it! Thats it! He's sealed it! Grimsby Town are back in the football league!!! Just a minute to go and Nathan Arnold makes it 3-1! Look at the scenes behind the goal! Look at the relief! The agony is finally over!!!"

Just heard that we are holding out for 1+ million for Bogle.

Wigan didn't look as if they were too interested, however, that has now changed.

Currently, they are favs and will put a 1+ million bid in + addons.

1,2 million Forrest bid rejected a few weeks ago.

Looks like I was right. Unless we have rejected it at the last minute?

My source say's it was more than GTFC asked for.

I would of throught Bogle would of bided his time; I just think if he had waited till the end of the season, a bigger club than the likes of Wigan would have come in for him.

How much would he be worth with goals scored at the end of the season. Probally more than the fee that's incoming right now. Surprise me GTFC.

I'll be very fking annoyed if it's 'undisclosed fee'. 😠

The wife was going away for a girly weekend.
I jokingly remarked  'I don't know whether to spend it watching porn or watching football'

Good luck Omar and good night all. Surprised we didn't pay a fee for a striker rather than another midfielder! Have to be realistic though and that's a lot of money to Town.

I think it's pretty clear that a deal is done and we're just waiting for the formalities. While I'm not surprised, I'd be very disappointed if the deal is for the kind of numbers suggested earlier this evening. I personally think Omar has shown he is worth more than that. That said, if he does go, he will go with my thanks and very best wishes. I hope he goes on to show the talent we know he's got.

Remarkable year for Omar. 12 months ago found himself out of the squad for a faltering non-league side; now he's a Championship player.

Sad for us, pleased for him. He deserves it.

He was always going to go and the Championship was always the likely source. I said previously that our group thought him worth about 1 to 1.5m, so good deal all round and hope it's the first of many players we develop and sell on to keep the club in a healthy financial state. Good luck Omar and thanks for the goals, especially the ones at Braintree and Wembley.

If we've sold him for "£1m to £1.5m" someone at the club needs shooting. Highly rated 23 year old striker, top scorer in League Two, bags of potential, responsible for 54% of our goals so far this season - that's nowhere near enough money in the current market for a player with 18 months remaining on their contract. The buying club have just sold a winger their fans all hate for £7 million ffs, we should have made them bite our bloody arms off to get him.

Good luck to Omar. Got to remember he was part-time until signing for us last season so this is an amazing opportunity for him financially, life-changing. If its £1million + then that is a fantastic amount for Town. Well done Hursty and Fenty for signing him on a 3 yr contract, how good a deal does that seem now!
Thanks for all the goals, esp as someone said the epic one at Braintree, god that was amazing when that went in, and of course the wembley goals.
Good luck to him in his future career - could still earn the club more big money yet!!

Good luck to the lad, pleased for him. Did a good job for us when it mattered. Warren Joyce seems a decent manager so despite the relegation fears he's probably gone somewhere solid.

And he never went to "Yarkshar" which makes it even better........!

He has done more for the Club than the vast majority of players - even in a short time.  And made us a lot of money.  (Not to mention scoring the goals that got us back into the League).

In terms of those 3 goals in the play-offs last season, helping secure our league status this season and the seven figures he's just made the club, has there been a player in living memory that had a more significant impact?

Genuine question.

Well done to him for getting his next big chance and thanks for all the important goals. Hopefully we can get some normality back ASAP on and off the pitch as I think Saturday's performance wasn't helped by all this uncertainty and now we can focus on the job ahead with a bit of cash in the bank too. This has to be one of the best bits of business ever done by the club? £50,000 turned into £1million+ in just 18 months!

In the last 20 years or so, I'd struggle to think of one to argue in favour of above Omar. Others with longer memories may have their own ideas but Omar's status as a modern legend has to be assured by his deeds last May.

Great question.

It's quite sad to see him go but it's a big chance for him to really show what he can do and play at the highest level he can, hopefully we got a good deal  from it that will help us and I wish him luck in the future.

Will always remember the part he's played in helping us get back in the league and the many goals scored this season.

Good luck to the lad

Thank you Omar for the goals, good luck at Wigan and I hope in time - a further sell on windfall transpires. Thank you Paul Hurst for signing him and getting us promoted. Well done Fenty for sticking by Paul last year, negotiating the Omar deal today, backing Marcus in Jan and finally staying strong with James McKeown. Good luck to Marcus - brave decisions, trying to invest in youth for the future and build a new infrastructure. Now the window is shut, we progress with many inevitable bumps along the way I suspect - but i feel better about the squad quality and bank balance on 1st Feb, than I did on 1st Jan - the whole GTFC management team should feel they have done a good job in Jan 2017 - well done.

I cannot agree with those who said we should have held firm and hung on for over £2m

What about Omar's view? He may well have wanted to go?

When he was at Solihull what would he have been on £300/400pw? He moved to Town on a 3 year deal and signed for ( guess) £700/800pw.

Wigan come up and offer say £5/6k per week, a seven or eight fold increase. Who on here wouldn't have taken that?

Just heard that we are holding out for 1+ million for Bogle.

Wigan didn't look as if they were too interested, however, that has now changed.

Currently, they are favs and will put a 1+ million bid in + addons.

1,2 million Forrest bid rejected a few weeks ago.

This is my reading of it too. If he'd already had his head turned and "mentally checked-out" then we wouldn't have been hanging on to the same player anyway.

While Omar was always going to leave us for a higher division, either in this window or the next, I can't help feeling this isn't a good career move for him. He's joined a struggling outfit, involved in a relegation dogfight, with a new(ish) who have just signed eight new players. Chances are they'll be relegated and, who knows, we could be playing against him next year.

And not a club known for their fervent fans!

Nevertheless, I wish him well.

Does this all sound begrudging!!

why isn't a good move? from a personal point of view he's probably quadrupled his wages and if they somehow manage to survive and he's banged a few in he'll be on more teams radars... If they don't survive then he's still a division higher than he was playing at the beginning of this season.

Good luck to him. He's been as good for us as he needed to be and this move ought to set him up for life financially as well as helping us out.

Whether Wigan are able to unlock his additional potential or not remains to be seen, but he's shown enough in fits and starts to indicate he could do decently at that level if he can settle in well. I do wonder if he'll perhaps do better when playing alongside better players?

Now for Asante to take over where he left off!

Good luck to him.  Hope he bangs in 20-30 goals with Wigan gets them promoted, then hope one of the big clubs pays mega money and we get another 6 million for him.

Kind of see where you are coming from however.....he would have been useless to us had he stayed now his head had been turned...and for a relatively short term investment i think he has turned a healthy profit, secured our place back in the league and raised our profile.....

Thanks Omar for that Braintree comeback and the joyous day at Wembley.......good luck.

Agreed, would not have been the same Omar if he was forced to stay-----thanks for everything and good luck for the future. We move on.

His head must have been turned by all the speculation in the last few weeks and he was certainly not at it in the last three games. Thanks for everything and go and earn us some add on cash!

i can only echo others sentiments and wish him the very best of luck, and hope he goes on to even greater success (especially as we will have a sell on clause!).loved his performance at luton and the goal at crawley was just stunning (not forgetting wembley and braintree of course!)
He owes us nothing, and whilst i think he may have benefitted by staying another 6 months with bignot and improving even further , i can see why he would want to grab such an opportunity (after all he could turn wigan and their ££££ down and then end up having a career ending injury in the next game)

personally i wonder if he will make it much further (and this isn't sour grapes). he's going to find it much much harder in the championship and how that will affect his frustration levels and his 'mental fragility' remains to be seen. by the latter point i mean that he doesn't seem to be pyschologically or mentally that strong; it doesn't seem to take much to knock his confidence or to get him frustrated or on a downer.
increasingly as you go up the sporting scale the little bits of the jigsaw that are missing in an athlete become major problems, because you are up against people who are just as good as you, but may be mentally or physically stronger, or a bit quicker etc etc
having said that by signing this deal bogle has gone a long way to making himself financially secure for life. even if he fails at wigan he will no doubt get signed by a decent div 1 club who will still be paying him at least £100k per year

one final point; A cut above connell and amond obviously but  the best striker we've had since mendonca? (and how many years is that?)

Is this the best move for Bogle?

3rd bottom in the championship and the lowest scorers in the league.

they obviously have issue supplying the strikers as Will Grigg was scoring for fun in league 1 last season...

Hope i'm wrong and he manages to do well, but if he doesn't get off to a good start, we know he can lose his head and no goals will result in fans thinking he's no good for them

Good move for Omar? The answer has to be yes because he's signed a contract at Wigan. Good for GTFC? Yes, he was never going to stay, so with decent money in the bank, MB can plan early for the team to be less Bogle-centric. Good news that he left last night, we can now kick on and plan to play without him. Evolution of a new team should be the main objective this season. Keeping Omar would have only delayed it. Look forward to seeing the development of the new players over the next few weeks and months..

I do wonder what MB will have to say about this transfer, he seems to have been heavily involved in Omar's development professionaly and personally.

It seems they must have known, or planned for it hence signing Dyson but it does seem a funny move to make, relegation battle.

I think regardless of their position, they're still two leagues ahead of us. It's a massive boost from a career perspective, and if you have the self belief that Omar has, you feel you're in a good position to try and improve their fortunes and score some goals. Arguably he has nothing to lose - and could easily come back down to League 2 if he turned out to be out of his depth.

I hope he goes on to great things. He clearly has the potential.

Oh, come on. He had his poker face on. Not for sale, going to my mums. It was always going to end up in the last minutes of the transfer window.

Much as I'm yet to be convinced by MB he was just playing the game that all managers play.

Interesting when he said that he would of hated seeing Omar next day had the deal not gone through and we may have lost him for the rest of the season, as people dont know what Omar has gone through.

That caught my attention too.

At the end of the day, it's bizarre that players are still 'sold', and that in theory the club could object to his contract being ended and the player advancing his career.

So are you saying that you find it odd that a club could block a move if a player wanted to go?  Or that they should not term players as assets and therefore available for sale.

Re; Omars message to fans

Paul Hurst - note to self - that's how you leave a club and go up the pyramid.

A little recognition of the fans, the club and the board - helping you along the way through good and bad times

Small thank-yous mean a lot and people remember that.

Cab I point out that it was Paul Hurst who convinced Omar to join us over other Conference clubs and allegedly league clubs at the time as well. The same Paul Hurst had the foresight to give him a three year deal and equally the same Paul Hurst who couldn't sign a striker to save his life who turned 30k into over £1m! He can smile with deep satisfaction this evening.

It was JF who signed Bogle. Hurst was forced into it by the fans' OP expectations. It was also Hurst who was apparently reluctant to let Bogle be Bogle.

However, water under the bridge. Three points against Luton is the main item on the agenda now.

Some might not want to hear this but thought the Mullins provided funds to allow Bogz and others to become GTFC players.

I'm saying the whole system is medieval viewed one way. Assuming you're not a professional footballer you'd think it odd if your employer could block your recruitment by another company.

But on the other hand if you contract a builder to build you a house and then half way through he decides he has a better offer building elsewhere. It's all about contacts at the end of the day and if players sign one then they must stick by it

This may have been mentioned elsewhere on this thread (I confess I haven't read all 40 pages) but this quote from MB shows why it was right to sell Omar:
"ging for him – career-wise – I know also how much it will mean to him to be able to financially support his family."

This is a life changing move for him and a chance to have financial security.  That chance doesn't always come again.  It's important that the club respects that.  Also, it's a sign to other players signing for us that if they do well, when the time comes we will do the right thing.

He certainly did, I'm sure he will be following our results just as keenly as we will be watching his development at Wigan.

But he's not our player anymore whether we like it or not, we move on.

What factual and I mean factual evidence have you regarding this?  JF certainly did the negotiation with SM but are you saying he told the manager who he was getting rather than the manager telling JF who he wanted?

If that is the case was JF identifying all the talent, scouting it and signing it?

Understand the sentiment but if footballers waited till their contract run out then clubs wouldn't get the money to develop. It's all part and parcel of the modern game.

We signed OB for a decent fee and sold him for a better fee. The club will have received plenty of cash from the goals he has scored over the last season and a half. As well as the shirts with his name on the back!

Even blur may have profited from Bogle and the song!

If you wanted to do that then why did you open a thread entitled  'Omar Bogle Transfer news' ?

How hard can it be - read other threads and ignore this one if you don't like it.
If people want to reflect on the massive impact Omar had in his short time as a Mariner, what's the problem?

because ipswin always needs to moan about summat. he couldn't pen a positive post if his life depended on it. him and denni are 2 peas in a pod, posting negative shiite when we lose and never seen if we win

But on the other hand if you contract a builder to build you a house and then half way through he decides he has a better offer building elsewhere. It's all about contacts at the end of the day and if players sign one then they must stick by it

Two different things. Different types of contract with different laws applying to them. In your analogy the footballer would be the tradesman employed by a builder who gets a better job offer. The club is the builder. You can sue the builder if he doesn't complete the contract. The other builder who recruited the tradesman doesn't get fined by the builders' federation for 'poaching' the employee.

Footballers are on fixed term contracts of employment. When that's over there's no guarantee of further employment. You can't blame them for leaving early when something else comes up before the end of the contract. When I was offered my present job, I was on a fixed term contract which had a few months to run. I got offered a permanent job elsewhere. I have a family so I took it. There was no transfer fee involved. That's normal. Football is an oddity in that respect.

Swin's just glad to see the back of Omar as his twin predictions of him when he first signed, that he was not much cop AND that his knee was borked both turned out to be about a million miles from the truth. Pretty sure most of his goals were fortuitous too, in Swin-world, making Omar a right pest as well as a prediction ruiner.

Just watched a video with Warren Joyce, he said: "Wigan ended up coming out of the transfer window spending a million and bringing in 7 million."

Interesting to note that Wigan brought in 8 new players on deadline day - 2 loan players and 6 permanent deals from Rangers, Hartlepool, Eastleigh, Man City and us (plus one 'unattached').

All of these deals have quoted 'Undisclosed' transfer fees but I doubt that clubs such as Rangers and Man City would have let players go for peanuts, so what does that tell us about how much we got for Bogle from the £1m quoted by Joyce?

I suppose the best hope is that Joyce was just quoting round numbers and that the figure was over the £1m mark and we got a decent fee for Bogle.

You missed out a probably from his quote, he actually said "probably spending a million quid" which I take as he doesn't really know or it's a get out clause should someone question the amount.

don't give a flying feck if i'm starting to annoy you and nobody's trying to 'bully you'.
your posting history says it all without me having to add much.i think i found one grudgingly brief positive post, surrounded by a sea of moaning and negativity.

I reckon that must be with clauses like:

£500k if he scores a left foot, right foot, header, hat-trick in a World Cup Final

And

£250k if wins an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor

The 24-year-old striker has been in wonderful form for the Shrimpers in recent seasons, after having a hand in 25 goals for Grimsby during their promotion from the National League last season.

Worse than the Guardian for errors!
