Just had some Conservative folks doing the rounds locally handing out flyers and sounding out the vote which reminds me that we must have a general election between now and mid-May.

So, we this in mind how would you vote? I've listed the declared candidates for the constituency of Great Grimsby; remaining parties who may or may not provide a candidate can be chosen under other. If you don't live in GG you can still vote; just pretend you live here.

Mr McGee, don't make me angry. You wouldn't like me when I'm angry.

If Austin stands i'll vote for him.

And being a lifelong leftie bendie cameron and his populist mob are a no no.
so i'll most probaley vote monster raving looney.

Serious sport has nothing to do with fair play.
It is bound up with hatred,jealousy,boastfullness,
disregard of all rules and a sadistic pleasure in witnessing violence;
In other words it is war without the shooting.

Austin Mitchell isn't such a bad MP, and he's prepared to stick by his own opinion, but voting Labour again is just a no-no because they've copulated this country almost into bankruptcy.

DeFreitas has done something similar on a local scale, so it has to be Tory or not at all.

The only time I can recall seeing Mitchell in my area is at election time. Otherwise I only see him on the TV when he's talking about anything but Grimsby.

I'm a lifelong socialist so i'm screwed.The Labour party are too far to the right for me and Brown is a walking disaster.I'm not sure about the theory that Labour have ruined the country.Most western countries are struggling at the mo and i can still vividly remember the state of things when the Tories were in.I would never ever vote Tory and the Lib Dems are a waste of space.

Maybe the Greens if they stand.

(P.S.I live in Cleethorpes and my Labour candidate is Shona the moaner)

What is interesting in this totally and utterly unscientific poll is that, after eight votes and remember that this is just a bit of fun, the Conservative Party stand their best chance of winning Great Grimsby since the end of the Second World War.

What is more this kind of support for the Conservative Party hasn't been seen in the town since the Whig candidate was revealed as a drug-addled bankrupt transvestite and that was in 1833!

Back to the studio.
