Forgot to mention the pitch yesterday. It's looking very lush with the new grass now established and was being cut by Mike the groundsman.

Should be rented out for sheep grazing- sort it Stockwoods 😉

Why isn't Debbie doing it? That's what CEOs do isn't it?

No, CEOs at town invariably do nothing, or that’s the impression I had for the last 17 or so years…it’s the owners that do everything, sitting on little bobcats digging stuff up or shimmying up floodlights, just to save a couple of hundred pounds…

'the poor and the needy are selfish and greedy'...well done Mozza

With ginny mentioning that the fanzone is being extended by moving some of the containers back to create more space it got me thinking. That should mean there is room for another outlet, maybe smallish, in the side of the fanOne that serves.

Maybe they've already filled it with something but I think a really good addition would be a bottle bar. There used to be one in the foyer area of the findus stand as you went through the turnstiles but within the big increase in fans last season it effected spectator flow so they had to remove it understandably. It was a shame because the one guy at the little table with a couple of fridges and a bottle opener could really bang out the drinks. It actually meant you were able to get served at half time cos it was so quick.

Well with the even bigger increases in fans were seeing I think it would be even more beneficial to offer a bar type that's main focus is on throughput. You could have a bar with one bottle of IPA, one bitter, one lager and one cider type and maybe mini bottles of a red or white wine. It would be an alternative to the docks beers bar (which is great) but which is a bit slower serving with all the pouring etc and is a bit pricey. By having just bottles you get speed and just a few choices keeps cost down so you can price it competitively. A couple of staff banging those out would take some of the queues away from docks so those that still wanted it would get a better service.it would also make a swift drink at half time more realistic for people to just pop in to the fabzone for a drink.

Just think it's an opportunity to improve the experience for fans by being a bit different to what's already offered and which has proved popular in the past and at the same time increase sales so more money for the club.

Ginny is gonna now say the space has already been reserved for a financial advice booth featuring Alex may or something so no room!

Not sure McMenemys are allowed to do that, a few years ago me and the Mrs wanted to hire it out for our joint 50th birthday party and we wanted my sons band to play, they are a very talented local classic rock band,  when we inquired they said because it was residential they wasn't allowed to do it, don't know it that's changed, but I wouldn't have thought so, shame because it's a great idea.

There’s a difference to a band playing straight after a match at 5pm to a rock band playing at 9.30pm. Would be worth finding out.

Isn't it 10pm 'quiet time' so surely 5pm for an hour or two doesn't come up as a problem?
