Be good if Harrogate do us a favour and beat Sutton tonight. What a sad situation to be in!

Accrington (A) - nope
Stockport (H) - nope

Then we play Colchester (A) and Donny (H) in the space of 4 days. What a huge couple of games that is shaping up to be. We could really do with these rumours of a squad meltdown being unfounded.

The only positive is our goal difference is worth an extra point against those below us .

It’s funny, I was only saying this to Dave Artell himself about half an hour into the Walsall game…

The Sutton ground is about a 10/15 min walk from my house.

I'm wondering if we're at the stage of watching other teams that closely that i might pop down tonight!

If only we all had experience of GTFC doing GTFC things when you least expect it.

Absolutely dire against Tranmere, who I would go as far as saying were one of the worst teams I've seen in a long time - we were just even worse!  Meltdown amongst fans because someone's made up a rumour that there's a dressing room revolt which followed an earlier meltdown because another club activated a release clause in a player, of which the clause was the only reason we got him to sign here in the first place.

If ever there was a time when we grind out a scrappy draw at Accrington and then take 3 points off all conquering Stockport, then it's the next few weeks.

We love a result against Stockport aswell… even in the midst of the run of results that got Hurst sacked we should have took something from the game against them at there place. That’s when they were flying and beating everyone, the young lad Barry was the difference. He’s now injured and out for the season..

Until the first 35 minutes at their place this season, this was probably the most one-sided 35 minutes I've seen until Sarcevic got sent off.

The bookies have Sutton as slight favourites in their next two home games. It will be a big plus for us if they fail to win both of them. Even 2 draws would be ok, especially their weekend game with Donny. They win them both then it is officially squeaky bum time.

I know.  It was another example of us surprising (be it in the result or getting close to one) against Stockport.

Doesn’t look like a whole team of world beaters even with McAtee and for NL level does it, but it was a big hearted performance that took advantage of the sending-off, the crowd responded as well. A great day.

I will.

Saturday didn't look a team capable of grinding results out to me.  It was a urine poor and limp display.

But I'm not at the point of thinking that they've suddenly become incapable of doing a hard and dirty shift based on a single display.  Again, it was just pure ineptitude on basic defending that has cost us (not just on Saturday) rather than anything else.

Glennon remembers how to defend like a footballer on two occasions (perhaps add that Wood, I think it was, reads it better for the second goal and tracks sooner) and we put Saturday down as a hard fought, ugly 1-0 win against a fellow excrement side.  Fine margins.

Fully expecting that the team we line up against Accrington will have at least one snarling, nasty, old head type in the backline.  That changes everything.

Yep. Seeing a side with Joey Jones in a two-man central midfield taking maximum points from the Champions elect gives me hope for anything!

That red card really got the crowd going and either just before or after Amos put in an absolutely thumping tackle in front of their dugout.   They begged for a red but the ref rightly ignored it and that helped set the tempo too.

It's those little pinch points that we missed on Saturday, something to lift everyone.  Totally honest Danny Amos was the last person I expected on that day to be the one to lift the crowd in that way, but it came just after Hurst had commented that he needed to find a bit of a nastier side to his game.

think I’ll just check the Scunthorpe v Tamworth score (hoping they are losing but not that it matters that much) and then swipe up just for a quick check on the other scores…

Luton absolutely smashing Brighton 3-0 at half-time. Funny old game, football, given that a year ago we were doing the very same thing to the Hatters, but then got expectedly and comprehensively dismantled by a class Brighton side a few weeks later.

In the old days you had to wait for teletext to refresh. At least you can refresh it yourself now. The tension waiting for page 3 of 4 to come around was unbearable.

Sounds like Sutton could well have won tonight, which is ominous. We can’t rely on other teams losing every week. We need to start winning.

We could really do with these rumours of a squad meltdown being unfounded.

I haven't read anything on here for the past few days, what's this about?

Who expected us to be looking at Sutton results in January? No, me neither.

Some idiot tweeted about a rumour re player revolt...
I now have it on very good authority, close friend has been speaking to a squad member, that its absolute bollox, the players have known for a while who Artell wants to keep, those who are surpluss knew a few weeks ago and have not tried to cause upset at all within the group.

But they didn't win, just like many games we've had when we said we should have won but didn't.

Still seven points behind us and played a game more.

It’s just that the other day you spouted off saying and I quote

“ Nobody, bar those in the meetings and discussions with the players, the agents and those involved have the full knowledge of what's happening, and if someone is leaking out all the inner workings to a member of the public, they need weeding out and sacking on the spot!!”

Pot calling the kettle black here! I hope you told your friend of your opinion and told him the squad player should be sacked on the spot!

Why so defensive when you get called out? Absolute hypocrite you are. Alright giving it to everyone else then doing the exact same as what you lambast others for doing 😂

Ermm......you may want to rethink that, you've called me out for nothing you arrogant fool.
I've said those at the club leaking commercially sensitive information to a member of the public (not quite sure whether you're a member or public tbh) need reprimanding.
The information I've given usnt exactly going against the official secrets act, its a player saying that the unrest is untrue, hardly the finite details of peoples contracts and the clubs financial now is it?...
So, in summary, whoever is leaking the details you "appear" to be getting needs sacking!..simple as....

I'd really hoped that we might have got to the point where 'The Relegation Calculator' was history.

Sadly, we're not even at the end of the January window and we've got the prayer mats out - again!

But it’s not for nothing is it?

“I'm not getting into "he said, she said"

Yet here we are now your mates been chatting with a squad member we have to swallow that it must be true because your mate said so. As if the squad member would admit to players hating the manager anyway but I understand you don’t have the general intelligence to work that out yourself.

“ you get defensive every time you are questioned”

Sounds like you again funnily enough.

“ He's miles out, its closer to 500k, his BOC was 350k...”

Is that not the finite details of someone’s contract that you’re spreading misinformation about?

“ Some idiot tweeted about a rumour re player revolt...”

So now you’re some idiot that spouted that there isn’t a player revolt. Do you not realise how profound that is 😂

You’re alright calling everyone else out but can’t hack it when someone stands up to you, typical playground bully.

I love this game ✌🏽
