First game in a long time, I'm feeling confident going into for a change. Just got that feeling in my bones or that could just be a the wind blowing through me  

Looks like another unchanged starting line up, 3 games on the trot now.

Something to note from Harrogates line up, not a single centre half in the matchday squad. Back 4 consists of 4 full backs.

And they are missing Sam Folarin - possibly their best attacking player. Their away form is very good though.

Harrogate have conceded 28 this season - the fewest in the bottom half. Hopefully Rose continues his recent form.

Good to see Town defending the pontoon end first.

Good to see Pyke back in the squad.

Two poor corners from Glennon.

Always nice to see Town trying to play pass and move football. Neither the passing nor the moving quite fluent enough so far though.

Harrogate pressing us high, causing a couple of problems for us playing out but when we get through the press the chances are there. Rodgers needs to be more intelligent in his passing.. firing it into people at 100 mph when they've got players up there behind expecting them to hold it.

That being said, we do look dangerous whenever we have possession of the ball in the Harrogate half.

I always think of having to stick my thumb right in, not quite being able to dig it out, and then getting caught out by a passing HGV driver.

Playing out is fine, but it does need refining. I'm having a heart attack.

Town are really riding their luck.  But.  Two months ago we'd been two or three down by now.

We are spending far more time fannying about at the back than attacking.

Problem we've got, and it was the same at Newport. There's absolotely nothing into Rose. He must have had about 10 touches. Nobody anywhere near him to even try and create something, Hunt isn't in the game and Eisa is giving them the ball back 9 times out of 10. When we play through the press and get numbers upfield we cause them problems.

Very lucky not to be behind by at least one goal so far. We are incredibly naive at the back and playing  football in places where and when it's simply not sensible to do so. Have looked decent going forward at times but it's very clear that it's a work in progress.

We’ve had what, 6/7 corners this half and they’ve all been terrible and predictable. The fact that we’ve made absolutely nothing of this is why we’re not winning.

Good points.  What peed me off when Rose did get put through he should have let it roll across his body and hit it with his left.  Instead, he came inside.  Still.  It's easy for me to say that from the safety of my sofa.  FFS

1-0 Harrogate and rightly so, embarrassing corner routine that leads to them going up the other end and scoring. I'm all for innovation but the idea of lunacy is trying the same things and expecting different results. We've had 7 corners and been hit on the break on most of them.

Worst half of the season. Truly awful. Do people really think Mullarkey is better than Efete?

Some observations; Maher and Rodgers are "not" ball playing defenders and it will be interesting to see if we sign a couple during the transfer window.

Harrogate look a tidy little side who are better at pressing us than we are at playing out from the back.

Love watching us getting outplayed on our own pitch by fooking Harrogate.

Today, we are different kind of awful. Trying to be the Man City of league 2 and failing spectacularly.

The worst thing is, the wind is blowing towards the osmond. Lift it in and stick it on the keeper and let the wind play havoc. Hunt and Eisa off, Holohan and Pyke on.

A very simplistic overview of the first half is this..............................They are better than us !!!!!!!!

Eisa got a decent centre but there were no black 'n' white shirts in there. About twenty blue ones though.

As the half went on it looked like they had better players in almost every position. They've done a job on us and it will be interesting to see what Artell does to improve it.

Tiktok Toby having another dreadful performance where he can't defend or cross a ball. We urgently need massive upgrades at CB and RB in January.

Defence looking all over the place, Maher scares me with his habit of putting his keeper under pressure for no reason whenever he has the ball in his own box. I'm not sure what this corner routine is supposed to be, they clearly have it scouted but we persist, why? Goal kick routine is the same, what is this little pass about to achieve what could be done in one kick?

We looked threatening at times earlier but again lacked a quality ball and we won tons of corners only to waste them, we are behind at half-time and they only have themselves to blame. Outplayed in the half and looking out of ideas playing ping pong at the back.

We created nothing at home against a team just above us

Couldn't go today but watching it, it's bad , everyones first touch seems off . Cartwright has done well a couple of very good saves .

Its very simple what they're doing. Muldoon drops in deep and 1 of two things happens. Both our CBs mark the same striker, Arthur comes inside to pick him up, Maularky is pulled inside by the winger and the leftback is open for the overlap or Arthur doesn't go and pick up Muldoon and they have a free man in thenl middle who draws people out of position.

Hope it turns out to be a classic game of two halves.

Harrogate have been excellent to be fair to them.

Hunt has lost possession 75% of the time he has received the ball (as has Eisa), Conteh is jogging around neither defending or attacking and only Gnahoua looks like he is able to keep hold of the ball.

What do you do when half the team is playing crap?

I've seen some bad corners in my time, but rarely so many of them from the same player on the same side and in the same half.

Artell trying to be too clever? I think he mentioned when he came about Notts County being the most successful team from short corners in the division. There is a time and a place, today we look so amateurish doing it.

Well no, because we've had success with it and there's reasons to try it, See Eisas goal against Crewe for example. Today it's just Glennon and Hunt both being unable to deliver a decent set piece. Can't blame Artell for Alex Hunt trying to take on his man and losing the ball, or scuffing the ball straight to a Harrogate player.

Definition of madness is doing the same thing and expecting a different outcome.

Yet Harrogate scored from their second corner when hit straight into the 6 yard area.

Well they've shown they can do it, we've done it in every game he's been here and only today has it been this bad. Players have to take responbility and work out among themselves that it's not working, DA isn't at the corner flag with them telling them what to do.

Why are we still playing Clifton in central midfield.. He is absolutely male masturbation and has no awareness and has just spent the last five minutes giving the ball away because he doesn't understand where the danger is until they finally took the invitation and scored. He's a liability unless played out wide where he can see what's happening in front of him at all times.

A performance like this from so many of these players so close to the window opening tells you all you need to know about the attitudes of some of them.

Get this lot in for Christmas Eve a full session of training on the fundamentals of defence, set pieces and passing because they don't understand any of this apparently. If you can't do your job then you don't get to spend time with your family having a nice rest.
