Absolute madness. Narrow away defeat to hotshots and now manager has to win Tuesday or he's out.
But it's about the last several games where we lost, with nothing to show. 2-2 up against the league leaders and we failed to park the bus.Our defence is shot and howlers from various defenders costing us goals and points.

Me old man messaged saying good fight shown but we just cannot keep the ball out the net. Tuesday is the last one, If we dont win, i think thats it for Paul. And im sure he probably knows himself
Today was always going to be a free hit - no sane board is going to sack a manager for losing away to the league leaders who had won their last 7 games, provided it was not an embarrassment. There were crumbs of encouragement out there today that I didn’t see against Accrington. If, and it remains a big if, we can play with a system the players understand and we stop conceding amateurish goals then things may not be quite as bad as they look on the surface. That said, a defeat on Tuesday, in front of a poor and toxic crowd, would have to be bordering on untenable territory.

Anything but a win Tuesday followed by defeat at Doncaster will see a Halifax like backlash from the fans.

I dont think anyone is suggesting that PH should be sacked purely for a narrow defeat at the league leaders, more to the point is 3 wins in 18 games with an inability to protect points and a plummet down the league, i have nothing against PH, but protecting the future of this club is more important than 1 man, the thought of falling out of the league for a third time in a matter of a few years makes me feel physically sick.

Hurst on Humberside moaning about the officials claiming they were influenced by the home crowd (lol really?), saying we deserved something from that and that his subs had nothing to do with their winner. Nonsense, we defended poorly, Pyke messed up the defending for the winner by dropping deep far too early, we rarely troubled their keeper (who stupidly rushed miles out to clatter Clifton for our penalty) and the officials were rubbish for both sides. Don't forget they also missed a penalty at 2-0. Very tired of the excuses.

The buck stops with Hurst on recruitment but a different manager is stuck with the same squad, which patently unbalanced and lacking depth. No defender on the bench, Hunt not trusted, Pyke not good enough as a third striker, three wide players but none have real pace. We failed to use the loan market in the last week of the window despite the injury to Wilson.

Disappointed with our sh1t defending (again) our decision making, quality and slowness of our passing, our lack of pace, our screaming lack of physical presence and strength at centre back and at centre forward, and embarrassed at the general quality of our crossing - especially from the same two or three, who are consistently cr•p at it.
I would add though…..to those few posting…’we’re in a relegation battle’; we’re not. Not yet. Nobody is in a relegation battle in October when the season ends in May and a window to come. That said…..our current league position is probably now reasonably regarded as an indication of our relative quality in this league. I can’t see anyone being satisfied with being 20th best out of 24; especially not with those glaring and costly sub par aspects listed above. Got to win Tuesday.
