Well, that was a game that I expected us to lose and lose heavily, but that’s galling. We deserved something on the balance of play but you cannot consistently defend like that and expect to get away with it.

If there’s a positive, that system looked an improvement.

We are looking a bit Hartlepool second season aren’t we. Didn’t they also have a decent cup run in their first season after promotion?

4 points outside the relegation places and 2 of the 4 teams below us have a game in hand, believe me we are already in a relegation battle.

Another defeat by one goal, which most of them have been.

Fecking frustrating, but we are leaky as hell at the back. We can now score against good sides, but we can't keep 'em out. Bit of a switch around from previous iterations of a Hurst team.

Did better than I hoped.

Looked better but left us with no defenders on the bench. This season feels misjudged in so many ways.
