It’s a song about a sky fairy protecting an unelected ruler. It’s outdated and only relevent at an FA Cup final as a Royal (probably Prince William) will be in attendance to present the cup. Liverpool fans boo it because they have had a Prime Minister send gunboats up the Mersey and another plan to intentionally neglect the city to allow it to ruin. No idea why they booed Abide With Me though.
