Have been watching with the away commentary option on i follow which is just microphones in the stadium picking up the noise....highlight of the half from the Vale bench ,

"Devante....Devante....are you ok ? "

"Well fking sprint then !!"

Thought we looked bright for the first two minutes, couple of good balls in , on the front foot ,  then just stopped. Defensively we are all over the place, plenty of players back but none of them actually defending , just back.
No passion, no fire, i listened to the Cockers interview last night and boy could we do with someone like him in there today, prepared to grab the game by the scruff of the neck.

I'd bring Habergham, Spokes & Gibson on and take Preston, Waterfall & Rose off. Move Hewitt to centre-back and go 4-4-2. And have Jackson warming up to replace Green early in 2nd half too.

Macca - Thanks for the service but can't catch a cold. Costs us more points than he saves us need to go in the summer.
Preston - Less said the better, would look out of place in Sunday League gets beat all the time, positioning excrement and can't play a 5 yard pass.
Waterfall - Modern day caveman give him a club in his hand and he wouldn't look out of place.
Pollock - Not been his best but probably been carrying the defence most of the season.
Hendrie - Just average not spectacular or not brilliant. Meh?
Rose - Reminds me of Derek Niven no legs whatsoever and don't get what he offers.
Clifton - Runs about like a madman and bags of energy but totally clueless when he has the ball can't lick a pass.
Hewitt - Not a midfielder.
Bennett - Probably might be good if utilised as a footballer instead of just constantly looking for a pass he can't see anyone for.
Morais - 35 year old and probably our best player looks like he can beat a man and deliver.
Green - flipping pitiful and a joke of a man. Looks like he can't get off the floor and I'd be begging to have Greg Pearson back instead of this waste of space.

Great save by maccabi after excellent attack from vale

Thought today was the Sabbath?

Through the door there came familiar laughter,
I saw your face and heard you call my name.
Oh my friend we're older but no wiser,
For in our hearts the dreams are still the same.

I don’t see a team of players going through the motions, I see a team that simply isn’t good enough.

And that’s not their fault.

I just wonder if the lack of bite comes from the fact a good few of them will either be gone by Feb or training with the kids.

Pile of dung, as stated at start of thread, team set up not to concede, usual errors of not markling people and chasing the game again. Get 2 strikers (I use the term loosely) on.

Just looking at the half time stats

Shots 6 to 4
Shots on target 4 to 2
Possession 42% to 58%
Passes 147 to 208
Pass accuracy 53% to 68%

and a few other insignificants.

So as usual we are doing all the stuff that we need to do to, and I use the word VERY loosely, dominate the match, but we just have no ability or talent that can put the spherical object into the netted area.....and I dont mean someones vegetable patch in the garden just behind the stands.
