All appear to have performed well at their respective levels but mostly untried, or to date unsuccessful, at L2 level. Still shouldn’t judge a player until I have seen him perform a few times and like any player joining town I wish him every success but unsure when a number of these guys, particularly those on a one year deal, are going to get a chance to show their worth.

And it doesnt fit in with what Holloway said earlier in the week. I welcome the lad and wish him well. But we have signed a few young unproven forwards in this window. Holloway said he wanted a goalscorer...a guy with a proven track record of scoring goals. Someone to rely on. Yet he signs yet another young unproven player just like the others. Quick look on wiki shows he's scored 1 goal in just under 30 professional appearances. Not quite the proven goalscorer we need. I am baffled.

Apparently, Virgil also means “flourishing”.  Let us hope that he does.
