Having read John McDermott's book I don't think he would manage Town while Fenty is here.

They've long since kissed and made up mate.

Not that i am jolley protagonist but i have and will always maintain that we needed someone with GTFC in their heart and blood to gets us out the poo.

Give me John Mcdermott and Craig Disley, then you would see passion coming out their mouth like a dragon breathing fire.

But alas, this was my dream, or maybe just a fantasy and for now, we have to give MJ the chance to back his own ambition and hope it does not outweigh his ability.

Is that all it takes to be a good manager these days is it, and passion? Nothing to do with ability, coaching badges, contacts, experience, man-management etc etc. Here is absolutely zero evidence that Craig Disley would make a good manager, great player yes but manager? Where do Macca's 'passion' get him whilst in charge of Alfreton? The sack!

This is like all of the fantastic, and innovative tactical advice that spills out of the Pontoon and Main Stand each week like 'Pressure' and 'Be Stronger'..... Brilliant!!!

He has to stay positive and not slag off his players but he went down a notch or two with me when he wouldn't admit we are excrement at defending set pieces.

In his three stints as Grimsby Town manager spanning over 10 years the club was never relegated and he also guided them to three promotions.
Only 14 managers have reached 1,000 matches in charge of a Football League team by 1998 and Buckley is one of them.
