Not that i am jolley protagonist but i have and will always maintain that we needed someone with GTFC in their heart and blood to gets us out the poo.

Give me John Mcdermott and Craig Disley, then you would see passion coming out their mouth like a dragon breathing fire.

But alas, this was my dream, or maybe just a fantasy and for now, we have to give MJ the chance to back his own ambition and hope it does not outweigh his ability.

I'm not sure someone who has not got a coaching qualification or senior coaching experience or indeed a failed non league assistant manager would add anything more despite their playing pedigree and history. Dis and Macca are quite rightly so considered legends at GTFC but we need fresh ideas and energy at the club, looking inwards to a degree has caught us out badly in the past.

The Burns interviews frustrate me as he keeps carping on about lack of quality which is something MJ can't fix until the close season, he's tried a number of things and from what I can tell will take us forward when he has his own squad yesterday every player tried their best for sure it's just what he has inherited is a poor side.

RH have a job to do but as a listener I'm bored of the same questions each week regardless of who the interviewer is.

Thing is managers do affect the players.Without tempting fate I feel Jack Lester would fill me with more passion though than Jolley does if I was a player when listening to the pair of them in interviews.

Think having played the game helps as well.

Like it does for Jose and Wenger? There is no evidence to suggest that Jack Lester would have more impact, players tend to take the most notice of managers who are picking the team and paying their wages.

Like Paul Wilkinson? You can just hear the passion oozing out of him when he talks too.

Quite a few people would have liked Nigel Adkins here and he was a physio. No-one sounds more upbeat and media savvy than Nigel.

The problem is not Jolley or Burns, it is simply the situation. Another game without a win, another performance full of flaws, another set of the same questions from Burns. Nothing changes unless we get a win and then there could be room for a bit of enthusiasm in both question and answer.

Exactly! Usually when one of the local teams win the RH interviews blow so much smoke out of the back sides of the manager they look like a BBQ.

Passion alone wont cut it but it certainly helps.

Fan expectation could play a part as well. Most know on here we should be a mid league 1 club at best .However from what Ive read on here players arent up to the standard.

Having said that Coventry at home first game of this season I thought we looked average and not that much worse off than Coventry. Certainly didnt think we would be in the mire come April.

I'm not sure what some on here expect DB to say, he was complementary about the first half and then went on to say we were crap in the second half and conceded goals to a corner and a daft free kick which is par for the course and that on this form we are going down.

Having read John McDermott's book I don't think he would manage Town while Fenty is here.

I think it's down to Burnsy's deep-seated desire to put some Q's to John Fenty and tear a few strips off him on behalf of both the fans and RH. That won't happen so he seems to be taking it out on the one GTFC employee who tries to explain what's going on. I expected a bit more subtlety from Burnsy, such as asking about the mess MJ inherited, how did it get like that, what sort of setup sell their top scorer in the middle of a goal drought etc.

The club reap what they sew....treat the media like sh!t and they will come back at you....Burnsy was always going to have a dig not only from his previous fall outs with JF but now with the Matt Dean fallout, no one at RH will miss an opportunity to have a pop.
Burnsy was trying to get Dave Smith into corners the other week during commentary, little comments here and there alluding to it all being JF's fault.
This week Burnsy had a couple of pops at MJ during commentary " will he turn out to be like the Cowley Bros or just Bignot with a masters"

Not sure if found Jolleys response to the lack of midfield quality  " well unfortunately Andrea Pirlot was unavailable this week"  as an attempt at humour or just a shirty reply.
