John Fenty is killing our club. He's a vacuous, vain and arrogant man who holds us all in contempt. We must force him out. We had one of the best SLOs in the country, but did he care about that? Course not. A total shame to lose Kristine, and a shameful affair all round.

Maybe free from the shackles of big ego fenty she might be able to share some insight into the running of the club.

It is sad to see such a hardworking and enthusiastic person driven out. Her prompt responses to questions raised was a welcome change in the way the club was interacting with the fans. We now have a SLO puppet who can only read from fentys script.

Excuse my ignorance, but what have the Club done to make her feel that she needed to quit, I mean she was doing a great job with national recognition and she was doing it for free, the sort of deal someone at the club loves it when people do stuff for free.

She was asking too many awkward questions and putting tne supporters first. Adie, nice guy I'm sure he is will just be a club mouthpiece.

Let's just have another unity day. That should sort it.

Losing Kristine is another example of self harming by GTFC

Really disappointed and confused by this.  Generally I've tried to take a positive view of the Board but this is just bad management.

This is getting ridiculous. We lurch from one disaster to another. The goodwill and the positivity from the promotion season has gone.

The staff have changed. Management and players have all gone. Alright, managers and players do that. They always have and they always will but it's changed quickly and the team spirit and unity between us and them has gone.

We've learnt nothing, absolutely nothing from our lowest point, from our years in non league. It was the perfect time to build and to gather momentum- that might even have aided with the building of a new ground.

Instead, what we have is in-fighting and an awful, awful
Atmosphere. Fans have been called bullies, we've not been backed by the club when we've been treated appallingly and now the voice we have has been silenced.

I don't post much on here and I don't talk much football on social media. I prefer sarcastic tweets that are only funny to me. But I've had enough. The club is being strangled. The fans marginalised and it's the play-thing of the major shareholder.

I've long thought it pointless to complain. I was even of the belief that without him we'd be in trouble. But we're in more trouble with him at the helm.

It's time, getyourfactsright to stop falling out with fans, the media, message boards, other board members, investors, managers, players and god knows how many other people and take a good long look in the mirror. These catastrophies can not possibly all be other peoples fault and the arguementative aggressive tone does no-one any favours.

No amount of badly worded, press releases, message board rants or odd interviews perched on top of a snooker table can fix this.  

The club needs to appreciate its fans and to involve us. Not treat us as an inconvenience.

Football without fans is nothing and you're in danger of driving the fans away from GTFC.

The team seems to be getting it together on the pitch but behind the scenes fecking toxic elements are at work determined to bring this club down to its knees.

For all Fenty's stressing for fans to stick with the board and the club now they do this.

It's disturbing that "the club" thinks the best way to improve the relationship with the supporters is to remove any possibility of dissenting voices being heard.  All this 'being on the same page' stuff just means the new SLO has to parrot whatever comes from the club rather than helping the club relate to the supporters.

For one last time, please actually listen to supporters when they have concerns and maybe concede some points to them and support them when there are problems.  Knowing your own mind is one thing but believing anyone with a different opinion is always wrong will only result in continuous friction between the club and supporters.

There is a massive lack of trust between the boardroom and the terraces and Kristine is one of the people who were bridging that gap. We also had the Unity day on Saturday which appeared to go well and now, once more, it's been blown out of the water again. Why?

Considering anyone with Internet access can read this site, they can hardly be called spies! We all support the club and have got a huge amount in common. Yes we argue amongst ourselves sometimes, but the real opposition is the other 23 teams in the division! They are all on our side!

That's out of order. I don't know who Squarkus is, he comes across as a bell end. Sonic is 100 percent town, his brother happens to be John. Does that mean he can not have his say as an independent Town fan?

Yes you do. I've said that I have no problem with anyone having an independent view - you included - but I can't remember you ever posting anything contrary to the party line.

I'll say in all honesty that I've never had a problem with Sonic, any posts we've both contributed to in the past has seen us in general agreement. It's an awkward one as it's a brother thing so I can only have faith that he at least sees some of this as genuine hurt from genuine supporters, some of whom he's posted and travelled to games with.

It's a sad state for all, he has my respect for not wading in but I do know the other members of the F-Squad are not helping in the slightest.

The bit in bold interests me. I don't for a second doubt that your brother believes every decision he makes is for the good of the club. However, what is galling is that he doesn't ever seem to realise or accept when he's made a mistake. Nor can he understand the opinions of others and he certainly doesn't value them.

Whatever walk of life you're in, good leadership comes from people who are willing to accept responsibility and blame when they need to and who are able to listen to the advice/opinions of others but still have the confidence to come to a decision on their own if necessary. A good leader knows that sometimes they're not an expert in a particular field and should hire/listen to someone with more expertise (*cough*why the intercourse do we STILL not have someone employed for PR *cough*). Fenty's intentions are probably good but the delivery and often the decision making is well off and it's the main reason there is such a chasm between club and fanbase. Until he realises this and starts to address it, nothing will change.

I would hope that Christine her self would give the answers to that, you understand Codger that something has happened and we are not in the know at this stage, I am sure it will surface in the coming days, but pointing the finger at this early stage is wrong.

WTF is going on again, has the club not learnt from the fallout after the fans forum. I last met 'our' SLO at Cheltenham and she stayed overnight in a B&B in order to watch the match - she has done more for the club than most by a country mile!

The Matt Dean saga was ridiculous but this is something altogether unacceptable.

I was a contentious objector - not now.

Yet again John Fenty you have ostracised yourself, and therefore the club, from the most important thing at Grimsby Town - the Fans!

well this one might not cost him financially but its costing him any shred of trust or credibility that any had left in him and damaging fan club relations just a few days after a Unity Day !! ....if HE didnt appreciate Kristine's Bragate comments then, as she was an appointed member of staff...(and no amount of Tippex can cover over the FACT she was the clubs appointed SLO) ...did he not pull her to one side and speak with her about it ?

Instead of rewriting history, ( she was apparently only the Trust SLO) ... inventing stories ( it was made clear at the fans forum ?!?!? ) in order to put his own SLO in place who will act for the club ...and now the latest release states that the SLO role focus will be BP only and not our away games !!

I'm sick and tired of seeing this statement being trotted out time and time again..

I don't want him to work tirelessly, I want him to work skilfully..

If he hasn't got the skills, get someone else in who is skilful enough to do it,,

Kristine has been a huge asset and a breath of fresh air at this stale club.. and now he's lost her..

I have to question the skill sets being used to attract new investment and secure a new stadium..

There's been a catalogue of errors over a multitude of relatively minor issues over years and years..

How can we trust anyone at the club to have the ability to execute the major issues facing us?

I'm dumbfounded and really fearful for our club's future..

Come on Sonic, you are the most sensible of the band of brothers.  Please don’t let that slip. Lip service from the club that has just totally treated Kristine appallingly means fcuk all.

Christine has resigned because the great leader comrade wants her to pass through him any statements she wants to make to the press, so if he doesn't like it he can stop it, like calling for the club to make a statement over bra gate. John has taken offence over this because it has portrayed the club in a bad light over the lack of action from the club.

The clubs rebuff of Matt Dean's tweet was right but the manner was over the top and that sort of defending needs questioning.

It's obvious to anyone who follows Town that professional PR is badly needed to stop John causing a faux pas over and over again.

I really don't know why you keep repeating this mantra about your brother, or rather I do.

"Working tirelessly" is part of the problem, but you just cannot see it.

His opinion of himself far out weighs his actual ability, and "working tirelessly" is code for being in complete control of the club from top to bottom, and doing it on a shoestring.

GTFC is not a fish business where the aim is to reduce the cost of everything to make more profits, or in this case to reduce losses. His self reliance is seen by you and other family members to be a great virtue, whereas in reality it is a symptom of the club being totally in the wrong hands. He would make a good caretaker, or odd job man, whose willingness to clean the loos or change a floodlight would be seen as commendable, but although it gives him great satisfaction it is dragging the club down. GTFC needs a wind of change, to bring professionalism throughout to bring us in to the 21st century and your brother doesn't have a clue how to bring that about.

I've tried to put a balanced view on here tonight but get shot down for it. I read this forum every day but really post because of this. Maybe others do too?

Having read the posts about the latest fiasco to beseech GTFC. I having been trying to work out what Mr Fenty and I presume the rest of the directors have been trying to achieve over the last few months. As a person who has been a director of 3 companies and managed several more I am totally bewildered by what there thinking is.
Mr Fenty has always stated that he would sell the club if the right people/ person came along but the board are making the club unsellable with their actions over the last few weeks.
I do believe that Mr Fenty has had enough and would like to sell the club but I do think that until that happens he should bring people in to run the club. For a man who has 2 million pounds in " benign" loans he certainly isn't putting forward a good reason for anybody to come forward and take over.

Glad to hear it.Just like to say thanks for the job you have done and congratulations on being one of the few people representing GTFC off the field in recent times to have had any positive impact with the fans.The decision for you to quit speaks volumes about your integrity and the lack of from others who seem hell bent on self destruction because they cannot accept any kind of criticism be it perceived or actual.

I assume they are thinking that they are just dealing with a couple of keyboard warrior bullies who are stirring the pot and upsetting everyone ..... it happens when someone has been in power for so long . Just look back through history . If you don't agree with him don't go to the games , that is the only real power the fans have .... I never thought id say it but the posts on here are becoming a tad boring now .  Just vote with your feet . Gtfc will be there waiting for you when you come back .

Kristine. Well done on all the hard work you've done on behalf of the club over the past year or so. To be shortlisted for SLO of the year in such a short time in the role can only mean you were doing a great job.

To then be totally blindsided in this way is disgraceful..
