I'm considering doubling my stake next payday already. Why set it as low as £40k? Let's push for £100k!

Only 300 people have so far pledged. Our average attendance is 3000 and that doesn't include the many exiles and fans who can't make games.

There are still eight weeks to go - while this will probably be the best single day we all have a role to play to keep spreading the word. We haven't made it because we reached £20,000. No point resting on our laurels.

Think how good it will feel if we have played a massive part in promotion at the end of the season!

No doubt. However, not everyone will have had a chance to read it yet, some will be waiting to get paid still and others might pledge more in the future.

I think this is key. We may not see as much raised in a single day again but I think there is plenty more to come. Two months down the line most of us will have "forgotten" what we've already pledged and be happy to give some more. Those mugs and t-shirts, dvds etc will tempt plenty of people who have already done their bit to get involved again.

I'd expect another quick flurry between now and 9 this evening with people finishing work etc.

Not sure if it's a good idea, but say their was an option to donate £1,000 and for every company that donates, they are mentioned in the Telegraph / Town website, and gives them some sort of promotion from advertising?
