the problem is confidence.   the clean sheets have dried up hence mckewon and defence arent communicating properly,  the goals have really dried up we are not managing shots on target so the strikers are low on confidence too. the wingers arenty trying to beat the man and delivery has been poor of late,

all this stems from low in confidence - a few weeks ago we were unbeatable and getting results even when we didnt play well, now that could have possibly led to them being over confident and the team have well and truely had their wings clipped and neagtivity is starting to crop in.  completely different scenario here but the last time we had a dip in form as bad as this over a period of games dare i say it was when we didnt win in 16/17 unders woods charge.   no i am not suggesting that we will do the same far from it, we just need a bit of luck to get us going again, my point is that losing runs can quickly mount up. i would take anything right now an own goal, dodgy pen deflection anything to get us on the right track again.   it will happen soon, keep the faith UTM

This "squad rotation" thing is a red herring.

Only a few days ago it was about injuries and bad luck !

No one complained when we we rotating players and picking up results left right and centre.
Do people forget the teams that just lost at HOME to Kiddy and Cambridge?
But now we've LOST at home with a strong team and found certain players in need of a rest, this is old pony being wheeled out.

Said all along we should have played rotated AT HOME and played a full strength team tonight.

Let me remind you of me, Mr "squad rotation"'s team for Nuneaton....
Quoted from 1600
Team for Nuneaton

.....................McKeown
Hatton.....Pearson.....Miller....Thomas
Marshall...Naylor......Disley?...Devitt
..............Cook.......Hannah

Subs: Wood, Thanoj, Wilson, Colbeck, Brodie

Hands up who wanted to stick with Artus instead of re-introducing Disley tonight ?
I suppose bringing in the captain was a "rotational" mistake too ?

And no, I said before the game I wouldn't have played Bradley Wood at left back.

Think they made a mistake there and sadly it cost us.
But Disley's header goes in or LJL shot hits the other side of the net, the mood would be much different.

If there's any "problem" it's a number of things, not any one thing.
Sorry if that's not simplistic enough, but it's the truth !

The doom and gloom is way over the top IMO.
Let's remember we're in line for the silverware AND promotion.

Call me "rose tinted specs" but I actually think we've a good chance of winning at Wembley and it could kickstart a good run as we head into the playoffs.

I voted "Wembley distractions".
Who's gonna be complaining if we "rotate" to field a strong team there ?

Wembley, the players minds are not on the job,

You watch , we will starting winning again after Wembley.

Sorry Pete but that would be a totally lame excuse.....

I can't believe that the past four results are all about us playing at Wembley

Something is wrong somewhere that S&H have to put right quick

I've tried to keep the glass half full attitude going but tonight sounded dreadful...

Basic errors such as not getting crosses in and messing corners up are what's causing us problems

Playing wide men and not using them and/or sending the ball up-field by-passing our midfield for the opposition to regain possession and mount another attack....basic poor decisions being made by our players

Whether it's the "players minds" or not, you can't blame some of the key players like Cook and Thomas who weren't even on the pitch for most of the game.

Are we missing Niven too ? Most probably !

After the MK Dons final I think we lost something like 6 games on the bounce.

All factors identified above, and others, have contributed to our sad decline.
