If you park at 2:55 and have a 10 minute walk, you miss the oppositions first goal.
It is easy (ish) to find a space in a side street now but it won't be when everyone has to do it.
Changed it for you

I agree...... I always have parked my car along Grimsby Road and usually arrive between 2 - 2.30pm. I will now be facing a parking ticket .
like you mentioned, why not make it 3 hours.
Good old NEL Council.

"Having a restriction of two hours will prevent people parking cars there for two or three weeks at a time. We also feel it will allow sufficient time for people visiting the shops to do their business" They could introduce a no selling cars policy on the main road and limited parking times for businesses. The 2 hour policy is targeting GTFC's business model. Although I can't see it being a major issue if you park up at 14:45 and arrive just after 16:45 to get your car.

If its a ploy to stop second hand car sales I'd say the vultures will be called off on matchdays by the council as a PR exercise .
YEAH RIGHT THE FOOKING WANKRES ARE RUBBING THEIR HANDS TOGETHER THINKING ABOUT THE EXTRA CASH THEY'RE GOING TO RAKE IN FROM HAPLESS COUNCIL TAX PAYERS !!

Whether it's the new stadium or parking these "residents" are starting to get my goat.
So bascially it's "let's prevent cars clogging up the highway by clogging up the already clogged up sidestreets" ?
Sure THOSE residents will love that too !
If people are put off Grimsby Road businesses because they can't be bothered to walk a few yards from a sidestreet then are they really that bothered to start off with ?
Perhaps so but if you ask me this has the feel of the "badger cull" - i.e. let's potentially cause loads of hassle and suffering just so we might be a bit better off elsewhere.
Talk about timing, good move to bring out a 2 hour (fgs) rule NOW when gates are finally on the up.
And why are the club declining to comment when they're in danger of losing supporters in transit who may end up giving it all up as a bad job if it turns into a nightmare?
Tbf maybe it won't be a problem but on the face of it, it all seems a bit unnecessary and it's certainly a bit concerning.

On average, 9 cars are for sale at any one time. The residents will suffer for this.

Park car at 2:55pm, get back to it at 4:55pm. Job done. If that is too tighter period then just bloody park in one of the side streets. It's easy enough to find somewhere to park less than 10 minutes walk away from Blundell Park.
I always park off queen mary avenue, 5 to 10 mins walk and never a problem parking.

I bet there is more than 9 pieces of dog excrement on the pavements in the surrounding streets, in fact you could probably build nine cars out of dog excrement and maybe the council will act
