abuse- it isn't necessary

i noticed graham from the handicapped supporters coach receiving some abuse yesterday outside the ground, it wasn't directed at graham to his face but they abused him behind his back, he may be annoying but he doesn't cause any harm to anybody and im afraid i find this abuse awful and it needs to be clamped out

Graham is a legend and people who know better show him the respect he deserves.

Graham and all the other handicapped supporters (along with their helpers) are a credit to the club: unlike the idiots Aaron claims to have heard. They travel all over the country and get behind the club no matter how poorly we are playing or how ill they are, mentally or otherwise: everybody should applaud them, not take the mickey, or abuse them.

I have known graham most of his life . he has gtfc running through the middle of him ,he is a town legend, that loves his club through thick and thin . And when things at the club are bad he is one fan the club can rely on to be there and cheering .

He his a fantastic bloke and he knows more about Grimsby Town than most posters on here,

I didn't say anything and i didn't report them because they was standing up and i didn't know where graham was but he wasn't in the vicinity, and what was i supposed to say? "These lads are abusing this fellow fan but i don't know where this fellow fan is" i did see a man  talking to them but idont know if he was asking them to desist or what

A few others but that doesn't mean that the witnesses are members of the forum, they might be but they might not be so its hard to prove either way but people did witness it

On the contrary this is what is known as a disability hate crime and can be reported to the police. These people must not think they can behave like this and can get away with it. If Graham was black and had been abused because of his colour the police, the club involved and the media would have rightly sprung into action. CCTV wouldn't pick up what they said so unless they were doing inappropiate jestures, unfortunately there would be no proof.

Im well over six feet and nearly 16 st BUT even if i was six stone and 2foot nothing i would have spoke up, too much walking away in this day and age..sorry just my opinion

Are you for real? Do you think CCTV cameras in banks and shops have microphones?

CCTV would, as CCTV often does, assist in identifying them. Witness statements would corroborate what was said and witnesses could further confirm identification.

we are about to  remember thousands of young lads about your age whom gave thier lives for what was a battle against evil and bullying,yet you are to cowardly to say anything to a few window-licking chavs picking on a disabled guy who is a life long town fan? either man up and get some balls or don't come on here bleating about things you are not prepared to do owt about. i don't care if they turned  on me,i wouldn't have been able to stand there and do nothing,im glad i wasn't in the trenches with people like you during the wars.

Say i reported it, the stewards would say and where is tthenhe victim and then i said oh hes somewhere but he is unaware of it, what would they do then? Why didn't the other witnesses step in then?

I supposed its down to the person whos going to step in....Aaron is still young I suppose and like he said he's not very big but  nor am I , I would step in and it doesn't have to end in a fist fight as much as you want to kill the little shits. some times a quite word is the best way.

So how often do you see footage on Crimewatch of someone walking down a street and the presenter asking if you recognise the person who is wanted in connection with an assault. There is no footage of the assault itself but there are witnesses and their statements and these, combined with identification from the CCTV, result in a prosecution and hopefully a conviction. But there doesn't have to be footage of the assault itself. CCTV is a means of identificatio and not always a proof of guilt.

See how it works? Most crimes do not have the benefit of CCTV evidence, do you think none of these come to court?

Attention sponging at its finest Um Bongo thinks, surely if the abuse is so bad any decent town fan would have a word with a steward, however on the other hand mocking someones voice behind their back isn't exactly abuse, its cruel to pick on those less fortunate (I often get picked on for being pink) but thats just the way the world is.

But Aaron's story is that of a group of teenagers mimicking his voice, yes they're a bunch of immature, thick little sharp objects but come on, you can't be serious about a court case?!
