No they wouldn't. Been watching Town for over 40 years and the boos have always been there when we have had a team that doesn't give it's all. Nothing changes and it's the same at all clubs. Blaming fans at BP for our demise is ridiculous.

The singing and chanting will return when the crowd have something to sing about.

It's simple really.

Absolutely spot on.

to be honest think I've said this already, I think it's down to every one, board members with no real ambition but then can we afford to? then there's managers with not enough or wrong tactics, and players who just have their bad times and don't perform to their potential, and fans negativity certainly doesn't help either.

I said this last year the problem is this 10 year decline it's taken everyone's patients out of them.  I too remember when BP was a fortress but not anymore you get the hundred fans chanting the rest fu(king moaning.  The players can hear it and I feel sorry for them but they must also understand that poor performances is not going to be rewarded.

As a supporter I attend to cheer my beloved team I don't go to slate the team at the earliest opportunity i would rather sing louder and vent my frustration at the team by singing positively.  Something's got to give and I would expect that our away record would be better than our home record, as the fans that go away constantly sing yet the same fans remain quite when at home why is that.

Anyone know what our home form vs away form was like last year.

Well, Mike Newell got sacked for other reasons, apparently, and he said the fans at BP accepted poor performances far too easily and should get angrier about them (something like that).

If you look back, there was a time when we went for ages and ages without winning away from home - months on end -  possibly when Slade first arrived? - can't remember the exact dates - and then Macca scored at Cambridge to put it right.  Can hardly blame those poor performances on the fans - our away fans are traditionally very supportive.

Was the BP crowd very vociferously negative vs Hull in pre-season?  Perhaps that's why all our new players were so frightened to play good football on Tuesday?

Didn't hear that much negativity yesterday until right at the end, and the booing then was probably deserved.  And the home crowd was very quick to respond positively to the goal that never was, as I have already mentioned elsewhere.

The thing that I find comical is the way people are assuming that Rob Scott is blaming the fans for booing and negative comments during a game, when he is probably the champion at gobbing off at all and sundry -  he let's them have it with both barrels whenever he feels like it.  It has far more of an effect when he does it, too, because he's their gaffer!     (I actually don't think he was criticising the fans at all when he said what he did about 'manning up' - I think he just felt that the players felt under pressure to win and play more of an attacking game at home, which is completely normal in football, n'est-ce pas?

Haha their is one fella in the upper who is constantly over the top with whatever goes on on the pitch, no word of a lie he was screaming abuse yesterday when we lost the toss!

I think I know who yo mean, do yo sit on the side near the pontoon around row j\k? If it is the same bloke I swear he was booing and shouting abuse when we were 7-0 up just because we misplaced a pass or a shot went wide! In the end he left
about 10 minuites w early and shouted more abuse on his way out about a few shots that were misplaced!

No i think our absolute minimum is 2500 for a league match.
Don't forget in this shite league we had only 100 less than creepy v the scunts on saturday, and they are two divisions above us.

Serious sport has nothing to do with fair play.
It is bound up with hatred, jealousy, boastfullness,
disregard of all rules and a sadistic pleasure in witnessing violence;
In other words it is war without the shooting.

Maybe it is my declining years, but I seem to remember only 3 weeks ago most on here were happy with the fact John Fenty had seemed to have invested heavily to bring in some decent players, they were also happy S & H  add attracted those players. Most on here thought we had a team to win the league/make the play offs, I hated Saturday, wasn"t imprese on Tuesday and thought we were average at Southport, the over the top reaction is madness, Fenty will be spitting blood, he will be hurting as will S & H and hopefully the players too.
You pay your money, cheer ...boo do what you want that is your own right, but lets give them a little more than 270 minutes to find their feet
