Bullying on this forum

The responses to my post prove my point.   Some agree. Some disagree.  Different opinions expressed.  Thats good. Thats the point of this board.   I posted a potentially contrsversisil point.   I didnt get abuse.  But if ks. Ar. Or rm had.  Could the same be said

Not sure TLM, i have only been rude, nasty or aggressive in my posts to those that have been to me if I recall I think the only person on here I have really been aggressive was roundballovalhole simply because he wasn't contrsuctive in his reply to my posts and called me a few things can't remember what they are, but all forgotten I have an idea which ones are the more respectful posters and those that are non constructive and always negative lol

As someone said above if someone was being bullied on here they'd just stop coming on here.

The bigger problem for me is that this is the most popular GTFC forum, and its gone massively downhill in the last year/2 years. I don't read or post as much as I used to and I notice plenty of good posters of previous years are infrequent users nowadays. And there's no doubt that's down to the influx of attention-seeking kids on here.

Every half decent thread gets ruined by page 2 when rattray makes a excrement joke/silly comment/asks if anyone saw him at the game, and loads of people react and the discussion then centres around him. If people ignored the attention seekers or blocked them (like I have recently) this would be a better forum.

Maybe not even go that far, just not go on the particular thread?

I relate to most of the sentiments in this post. Technically as Moosey says I'm not sure you CAN bully a user name. I only know a handful of the posters on here personally and have found them to be without exception decent folk. There are a lot of people that I don't relate to but given that I'm in my fifties and a lot of them are my grandchildrens age that isn't really surprising!! I get frustrated when people spoil decent threads with nonsense but the point is in the great scheme of things it doesn't matter. I long ago accepted that I have views that a lot of people don't like. It's a waste of effort trying to either convince people that I'm right or getting upset because people have the temerity to hold another view. These people have no effect on my life as I have no effect on theirs. Neither of us will fret about that.
It's close season-always a bad time for decent threads but in my opinion this board still has a great deal going for it. Some of the humour on here has me regularly laughing out loud and the insight into the game of football that some posters have is terrific. Long Live The Fishy....

TLM has got a point, certain posters can write what they like on here and nobody has anything even slightly negative to say back to them. i havent a clue why this is, maybe because they've got 2 million posts to their name or they're die hard home and away fans and they're held in a higher regard because of it, i don't know but it certainly looks like there is a pally 'in crowd' that target certain posters.

It seems to me that the older people are more liked than the younger people, some people post good posts and still get ridiculed and sometimes it is them who turns it from a football thread to a nonsense thread but like they are the first people to moan

There is so called bullying in all walks of life it only becomes a major issue if it gets physical, I'm not going lie I've been bullied on here if that's what you call it, I've also gave it out in bad taste banter. AS for the elite ha-ha give over who cares really?
