He was a great man from what I remember of him... Went on his coach to my first away match as a young un - Bradford away, think it was a cup game...

Yep think it was, Jewell scored for them if I remember correctly... It was a midweek game...

Not the game I was thinking. We lost 2-1 in January 1999. John McDermott scored and I think Phil Dowd was referee.

No it was before then... It was early - mid 90's...

Yes you are right. Coca Cola cup game in August 1994. Wasn't it two legs, and we lost both home and away. About a year or two later we got Jewell on loan when Lennie Lawrence was the Bantams manager
