from the looks of the elding photo in the telewag they have left the snow on the pitch, which insulates it, so suspect it'll be amass effort on saturday morning to get rid of the covering

On my accuweather app it's forecasting snow for Thrusday, sleet Thursday night & Friday, and a bit of light drizzle on Saturday.

I find that the best way to look for weather forecasts is to keep trying different web sites until you find one you like the best.

Most of them are rather inaccurate for N.E. Lincs in any case because the Humber to the North, North Sea to the East and Wolds to the West give us a type of microclimate. One of the reasons we often miss bad weather in comparison to surrounding areas.

Picking and choosing at least means you can feel good about the forecast regardless of what will eventually happen.

As a rule of thumb, I find that the local BBC weather report tends to be pretty rubbish, even in comparison to other forecasts.

Even the met office app changes or updates from one hour to the next. It shows Friday light snow all day. Just hope our micro climate stops it settling.

I would've thought they would keep any snow that fell on the pitch, on the pitch. They do that to insulate the grass to stop it freezing don't they? Our pitch doesn't often have problems and hopefully it may be slightly bobbly, York would bloody hate playing on a bobbly pitch.
