12th September 1981, a 2-1 win over QPR and as I recall Bobby Cummins scored the winner. QPR got to the FA cup final later that season.

23rd April 1984. We drew 0-0 with Cambridge and I was sat in the Upper Findus with my dad. As a five year old it's a shame I can't remember any of the players as we had some team back then.
My first season Tickets were the two promotion seasons under Sir Alan. Used to sit in the Main Stand with my Aunty and Uncle just behind the home dugout and loved to see Buckley lose his rag time and again.
Halcion days indeed.

I remember a lot of those games really well Mine is a bit hazy as I was only 6, nearly 7....Huddersfield Feb 64 and we drew 2-2 Just think how lucky we've been to see some great games and teams...some poor sods are gonna look back in years to come and say Forest Green 2010

December 1958 - Town 2 Liverpool 3
I was at that game too!! Liverpool played in red shirts and white shorts in those days! First game was in the 1955-56 season against Bradford (City I think) though it might have been Park Avenue

That's very true...my son's first game was at Rushden 2003 where we managed to throw away a 1-0 lead and lose 3-1 but he's looking forward to going there again next season. I don't know if I'm happy or sad for him because he's now 11 and watching Town regularly seems to be getting well into his blood....better get ready for a life of mixed emotions which is something watching as a plastic prem fan you never really experience

Town 3-1 Burnley I think it was, I think the win kept us up, or just about did. Around 2002? It's nice to feel young after all these '58s and '77s.
