My guess would be possibly 98/99?

Amazing figures.

And Doncaster announce tickets sold not people attending like we do, so we were ahead of them as well at least. I wonder how many other teams announce tickets sold for those figures rather than attendees?

Surely we should give the figure of tickets actually sold, season tickets or otherwise, regardless of whether they turn up? This would give a much truer reflection on whether we need additional seating etc, bearing in mind you will always get a percentage of no-shows for a variety of reasons.

It seems a bit pointless to keep saying week after week the home ends are sold out and giving a figure that is way below home capacity.

Considerably higher than 97/98, would you believe. 2002 is the slightly unexpected correct answer.

Still two decades. I hope we average 7000 next season, but something is amiss and the stories of people not coming because they can’t get blocks of tickets together needs some real thinking about.

Giving away fans the corner when it’s not the likes of Bradford and Donny makes the most sense.

I think whatever the away allocation needs to be (is it 10%) we should provide that with temporary covered seating in a corner, and leave all the stands for home fans. That way we can sell season tickets in the Osmond and Osmond corner. I am assuming we can get 900 or thereabouts temporary seats into one of the corners?

It would need some investment in temporary seating initially but would be worth it.

We’ll be above Mansfield as well - they announce tickets sold.
They announced circa 7,500 when we played there. 6,500 there at most.

That was the year that we briefly led the then First Division / Championship and won at Liverpool in the League Cup
