If they had gone on for the first time at 9am this morning I wonder how many people would have been queuing in the cold from 7am?

Had a good debate with Crusty, pre match yesterday with admittedly conflicting views.
I firmly believe it’s time for a loyalty scheme.
1000 points for season ticket holders of current season 500 points for the season prior 250 for the season prior
10 points for a home cup ticket
5 points for an away ticket - simply due to the fact there’s less money that goes to GTFC
5 points for every £100 spent in the club shop (could have double points weekends around Xmas and all sorts)
You then create a staggered ticket release.
The points scaling would need work but it’s a very achievable system. There has to be a huge emphasis on season ticket holders, as that’s our bread and butter, but again - that’s achievable.
I’d like to think the vast majority of people who want a ticket for Brighton, will get one. However, what happens if Sutton (a) next season is a huge game with a 500 ticket ? Proactive rather than reactive marketing.
Food for thought.

I’d say more than there was last night. I don’t think some wanted to leave the game early and then when they got outside and saw the queue thought “fook that!”

Fired of an email to Lisa and Fran in the club shop today to confirm my order of tickets has gone through, In the absence of a confirmation email I don't fancy assuming it's all OK and when I go and collect them they don't have any record!

How much is the hospitality package (not sure I can recall seeing 'away' hospitality before)?

I would say abolish Trust & 1878 access windows and have a purely points based system for all non-STHs.
And where supply isn’t enough to satisfy STHs use the points system to ensure those that attend away matches and home cup matches the most get a ticket ahead of a STH who hasn’t been to any away games.
In an ideal world STHs should be able to apply for tickets ahead of sale and should automatically be allocated tickets when supply in greater than demand. That way there wouldn’t be a rush in person or online as the vast majority will apply, get tickets and just have to go online to make payment.

The online ticketing system clearly has worked better because the demand on it was reduced, as was the clubs intention by starting it at midnight and opening ticket offices at 10pm.
Regardless if people needed to or not, the option was there and people took it (probably through a bit of fear of missing out).
All this has proved is that our ticket system is better if we significantly reduce the demand surges on it.
Still a stupid and needless decision.
If it's true that Debbie Cook cleared off early doors (note the if) then that is absolutely appalling leadership, or rather lack of it.
Questions need to be asked as to why this decision was taken. I suspect we all feel it's either for a media op or because of the broken ticketing system. Neither justify this decision, in my opinion.

Check your marketing preferences on your online account. Last season mine was set up as “no” and I didn’t start receiving confirmation emails until I changed it to “yes”. I would have thought they would have sorted that issue out by now though.

Must be a couple couple of thousand already served and sorted. Can only imagine the grief if everyone was waiting until 9am to log on and 10am for the shop to open
