There’s an argument in all this that it’s a storm in a teacup and the club have simply let a volunteer go.

There’s an argument that the person involved has had their pride dented, and there’s also an argument to say that the initial reaction on social media probably justifies the clubs point about social media.

Equally, in the grand schemes of things, it isn’t important and by the end of next week, it’ll be forgotten.

To be fair, IMO Lee produces better photos than the other photographers. His resources are up to date and his pictures are always used by the club. Look at the most recent pictures used of particularly memorable moments of our recent history and Lee has taken the shot.
Lee has every right to ask for a paid role, even to cover his expenses.
All the best Lee and I hope you still attend games whenever you can.

Not necessarily, the club might be using the excuse of not paying him to not use him anymore.

He isn't the first and probably not the last to be discarded by the club.

Looks like there’ll be a different photographer and the reasons for that decision are for the club, but you can’t deny the club have benefited from the work of a talented photographer and not paid the going rate.

I think Ska was implying that if someone is gaining financial advantage for your work, you should be paid a fair amount for that. Something I am sure everyone would agree with.
