It's a tribute to the Queen as we played in Red in 1966 when she handed the trophy to Bobby Moore against Germany. A bit round the houses but that was the explanation given on the radio.

The one positive of this performance is that, at 37 and having not kicked a football in about 10 years, it seems my boyhood dream of playing for England one day is not dead.
