How the hell though do a serial basket case club like Northampton afford to pay that sort of money?

I thought Fox was alright (nothing wrong with that) this season, until it got to the play-offs and then we saw what he truly had in his locker. The level he played at in those three games would make him valuable to any team at the top of league two at least.

I expected he would sign a new contract and wondered which Fox we would get next season but that is for Northampton to worry about now. If it’s decent NL Fox then I think they’ll be disappointed, if it’s play-off form Fox then it’s a great signing.

Same as most, I wish him all the best. We took a chance on him with his injuries but he took a chance on us as well by dropping two divisions. He turned up for a season and ended up literally leading us to the division above.

Same person who told me the 7.5K figure is the bloke who’s told me about the contract renewals and then last week that Fox would be leaving us.

Fox wanted to stay, his agent got involed, got him a much better deal elsewhere

I think 7.5K a week is obscene, and i questioned the figure as in “ are you sure thats right”. But he’s confirmed thats the case. No way on earth should town be matching that for any player
