Apart from the 1st 20 mins there hasn't been that much difference between the two teams. Given Chesterfield are supposed to be one of the favourites for promotion, and we've literally thrown almost a complete new squad together then that gives me some hope that we will be able to compete at the top end of the table.

Pretty even game to be honest we had chances to equalise but there keeper made a couple of good saves, pre season all about fitness tatics and pretty happy seeing as they are one of the favourites.

Well that was pretty uninspiring. Not helped by the excrement streaming by chesterfield. It is only pre season though, and we have a fair few injuries so going hell for leather would not have been a good idea in my opinion. 2-1 fair result and we looked a threat for the start of the second half. That's it then, onto the season. I would love nothing more than a number 9 we can all cream over but if it doesn't happen in the next week I shall keep the utmost faith in Hurst and the boys. Moaning about a pre season friendly and writing us off in the process is absolutely embarrassing, please don't. UTM

Totally agree with you, you took the words out of my mouth. I think there is optimism for the future, and promotion. Efete, longe-King, and Hunt looked good. We miss someone upfront and when the No9 is filled, along with the return of Taylor and the shop we should have the attacking power we need.


You can please some of the forumites some of the time but not all the forumites all of the time
