Well that was pretty uninspiring. Not helped by the excrement streaming by chesterfield. It is only pre season though, and we have a fair few injuries so going hell for leather would not have been a good idea in my opinion. 2-1 fair result and we looked a threat for the start of the second half. That's it then, onto the season. I would love nothing more than a number 9 we can all cream over but if it doesn't happen in the next week I shall keep the utmost faith in Hurst and the boys. Quite meh in the end, shocking defending in 1st 20 mins, was Macca having a kip?  Picked up just before we scored and looked decent going forward but most chances came from corners. 2nd half ok for 10 mins then looked like we went to 3 at the back and although this pretty much nullified Chesterfield along with other subs we made, removed any attacking threat we had. Hunt looks a good player, lots of people worked hard, lack of a real centre forward showed at times and also a lot of overhit throughballs negated some good 1st half build up. Musn't start with that back 4 again or we will concede goals for fun.

That's correct mate. Just me, I am the lord. No.

I said it was pretty uninspiring but cited the streaming quality as part of that. Then went on to explain its a pretty nothing affair and that ill have faith in those boys come what may. Calm down buddy.

Friendlies are not usually indicative of league form.  Bayern Munich have lost all their pre-season friendlies.  I don’t see them struggling not to be champions again.

I think this tells us what we already new if we're honest. They have a squad good enough to win this league and we've got a lot of work ahead of us to be considered probable's rather than possibles for promotion.

So we lose 2-1 after a sloppy start and from what I’ve read it’s been an even-ish game and yet you say one team is potential title winners and we are also rans who are some way off promotion....

Please clarify where I asked people not to post anything negative? What I said was moaning about a pre season friendly AND writing us off in the process is embarrassing, please don't. And it is embarrassing. Thanks
