This is why I love The Fishy!
A possible transfer request for one of our former players sets off a discussion about most of our strikers from the last couple of years and beyond... Already on page 6 now... When will someone mention Reddy? Ooopss... seems that I did!

I'd have Amond back in a flash.30 goals in 37 starts with us and umpteen assists to Bogle. 14 goals at H,pool and nearly as many assists. This does not signify a selfish player but one with a definite knack for scoring or making it for a team mate. Reasons for leaving ,if the truth be known , was probably the usual penny pinching offer (a definite trait at this club) and his agent was in no mood to haggle as an alternative offer was on the table.I seem to recollect that we lost a certain full back due to similar circumstances recently. I note that Bogle hasn't exactly torn trees up yet at a higher division. Put Amond with Vernon -who has yet to find a real partner up front- and we could have the answer to our current problems up front.

Podge was offered an 18 month extension in the middle of the season he played for us which at the time went against the policy of only discussing deals in the closed season. He chose not to sign as he wanted to wait and see if we got up or not, players can't have it both ways.

Ignoring the fact that he used to play for us - would I be pleased if we were after a decent footballer who managed 14 goals for the second worst team in the league? Yes I probably would.
