If the figure is 8000 that is concerning, next season ticket sales will drop a bit on this years.
How do teams manage on much lower attendance figures than us.

If season tickets drop massively next season then our expenditure will reduce bringing down our break even point. the 8000 is not a fixed figure it goes up and down with the amount of expenditure and income. A lot of the additional expenditure has been on improving BP and the pitch, if the board don't spend on infrastructure next year, the breakeven point will fall. Simply really.

If we were to cut all the improvements being made outside of the playing budget then I am fairly confident we wouldn't be making losses and the playing budget and break even point would be somewhere around the 6500 average attendance we have now. JP and PH have stated so many times that they are going to go stupid and overspend on the playing side. To be able to build the foundations for the playing budget and for the club to grow, we need to invest to overcome the decades of penny pinching and neglect. Training pitches, improve BP, actual coaching staff etc, where all needed to be invested in just to catch up to the other teams in Lg 2.

I don't know why this is a surprise to some, we have been told on multiple occasions that we are going to make a loss this season.

We are second bottom of the "home" table, not conducive to retaining the paying customer!

That really is poor. So so frustrating.

I renew my ST in the hope that home games will be something to look forward to in the EFL but keep being disappointed. I wonder what our home record is like in the fourth tier since 2004. I might make that a job for this afternoon.

Is that deliberately paraphrasing Rob Scott?

Slightly concerned that we still have to go to four of the top five.

My concern is getting to fifty points ASAP.

Seventeen points to go and 20 games to get them.

We have taken 10 points from the last 10 games. Northampton and Orient have only taken 3 more each, so may be a good time to be playing those two.

As you know, I’ve been banging on about this for some time. I’d happily take any finish that’s not the bottom two right now. Our home league performances have been pretty dire.

Oh FFS! I was having a pleasant afternoon and you've gone and spoiled it by mentioning that cockwomble....I'm now having Viet Nam style flashbacks.
