It's an obvious target for terrorists as well as thieves, pickpockets etc. There will be millions of additional visitors, not all wanted.
The police might actually have some real work to do rather than pretend football fans are criminals
There’ll be an influx but nothing out of the ordinary, multiple events take place at the same time in London and things aren’t cancelled elsewhere. Forced mourning is ridiculous.

For fooks sake get a grip, no one is asking you to mourn.

She was 96, lived a great life and we should celebrate that. It's not like she died very young. Minute silence, schools to teach children about her history etc and then we move on
They all live to be near 100. It's easy to do when you have the best of everything, they have their own private supermarkets that the public can't use that has the best food money can buy, they get the best medical care and don't have to worry about getting sick or having to wait years for needed surgery or being fobbed off by the NHS leaving conditions to get worse. The best part is they don't have to pay a penny for any of it as public taxes foot the bill along with tourism. You can argue the royals are diplomats that promote our interests as a country but most countries hate us because of the monarchy and their compliance with every crappy thing we did because it benefitted them, they get the best of everything and endless free trips abroad to stay at the best hotels and homes, VIP treatment and the best of everything anywhere they go just because. So instead of the Queen's speech we'll get the King's speech at Christmas this year. Expect it to be more of the same patronising about how we need to come together as a nation and how we need to do more for those in need while the King sits next to his solid gold piano with ivory keys on his seat that's worth more than most people's entire houses.

They are if things that people enjoy are cancelled. It’s going to be like lockdown again when workplaces are open but fun things aren’t.

I don't think certain other countries hate the UK because of the monarchy. It's because of the many shitty things our forefathers did in the name of Empire. It wasn't the Royals of the time telling our respective Governments who to invade and occupy - they did that themselves.

Except that's exactly what they'd be doing if sports and other things are cancelled.

Regardless of what decision is reached, you would have thought a steadfast plan would have already in place given the inevitable nature of this event. No announcement thus far suggests there isn’t a clear and straightforward consensus.
The Northern Irish FA has postponed this weekend’s fixtures; I can only see ours doing the same.

Just for a bit of History, football went ahead when the last monarch died.
Yeah, but when Edward VII died there was no league football for nearly 4 months.

Glanced at something earlier that said the government will leave it to the leagues or clubs themselves to decide. Unsurprised to see the govt shift responsibilty onto others if true and will probably mean it is called off because they won’t want the social media backlash.
