When his time here is eventually up, he will be regarded as a club legend, in my opinion.

He's now got a settled side, and system that he only needs to tweak now and again, with other players that can come in when required.  It takes time for a manager to achieve this, but Hurst has managed it relatively quickly this time around. For me, it shows that when he is backed by the board he delivers, which wasn't always the case under JF, or at scunny and Ipswich.

I think PH is a much more rounded and grounded manager this time around.  He's also learning all the time. I think he was a bit harsh on the players during our amazing spell at the beginning of the season. He weathered the storm of our dip in form and came out the other side a stronger person and a more likeable character.  He now seems to be getting his substitutions spot on and holds up his hands when he's made a tactical mistake.

Hurst creates good environments for players and fosters a culture based upon attitude, work ethic and integrity. He is not only a good fit for us on footballing terms as he knows what he’s doing but he also seems to naturally align with what the owners stand for and though that’s not unusual it is becoming rarer in football.

This time around he feels a bit more attacking in his approach and has already been able to build a squad with players on the bench who can change a game and despite popular opinion and to be honest a few examples he will introduce them to a game when required.

The players clearly like playing for him, the club and the supporters and that is surely something that’s breading a strong spirit of resilience and we’re not beaten until the ref blows attitude.

Maybe not this season or even next term but I’m confident he’ll get us out of this league.
