Throughout the history of the old lady that is Blundell Park, who's the highest profile individual to have played/attended?

Ruud Gullit, who won the Ballon d'Or in 1987 and was named the World footballer of the Year in 1987 and 1989, must be up there. He played at BP for Chelsea in an FA Cup game in '95.

In 1976 Grimsby MP Anthony Crosland took Henry Kissinger, US Secretary of State, to watch Grimsby Town at home to Gillingham. We won 2-1.

Did Elton John ever attend as chairman of Watford?

Gullit stands out for me, he barely seemed to do anything yet seemingly did it all.

Gazza for me too, regardless of the stage of his career, he will forever be my favourite footballer…

How could I forget Gazza. I was at that game against Buuurnlah. Good shout

I think Gullit trumps Gazza mind.

When Leeds trainer Les Cocker was once told Norman Hunter had broken a leg, he asked: “Whose is it?”

On a serious note Edgar Davids had a pretty high-profile career, winning the Champions League, Serie A multiple times and playing in the semi-final of a World Cup.

A less obvious one is Raheem Sterling. Perhaps not as revered or iconic as Gullit, Davids or Gazza, but a pretty impressive footballing CV nonetheless.

Has Boris been to a game recently, going by his recent choice of headwear?

Seem to remember Elton John on Parkinson's show I think, saying he took his mother to Blundell Park when Watford were playing us and the Town fans started singing
He's fat, his bent,
His arrsse is up for rent,
Elton john, Elton John!

He and Taupin still wrote a song called Grimsby though.
