I have to say that in my dealings with the Club Ian always came over as quietly competent and knowledgeable. A nice chap who dealt with a number of difficult situations with integrity. Good luck Ian in whatever you do in the future.

I understand why 1878 wanted their own person as CEO and I think most people wouldn't like being moved sideways.

With 1878 and Debbie new to working in football I do think the contacts and relationships that Ian has will be sorely missed.

With the newly appointed facilities manager having left too, it seems 1878 are currently dealing with a few bumps in the road.

And what a book it could potentially be, but unfortunately he isn't that kind of man. He was always the stalwart behind the scenes making everything happen.

In the write up it about him it says something about during his time and signing 1200 players. Would he have had any involvement in those signings?
