When Bogle was here last he wasn't earning life changing money but since leaving he's almost certainly made for life now. When you get to that point financially, motivations can change completely.

Poojah and Humbercod highlighted above teams that have done very well.  Having invested in new stadiums.  Although I am not sure which came first - success or a new stadium.

I suspect that everything started with good owners who brought new money in and then appointed good managers.  Long term success over time.

We have at least started the first part of this success cycle.  

There is another very significant contrast and success story.  The last season Wrexham were in in the EFL they played league games against Brentford.  Whatever happened to Brentford?  And yes, they also have a new stadium.  And are regarded as one of the best run clubs in the country.

Wrexham were unfortunate not to get back into the EFL a few years ago with automatic promotion after getting 98 or 99 points.

Don't forget that Brentford have an extremely wealthy owner who has been pumping money in for some years to get the new ground and win promotion. They'll cash in now they got into the Premier League (providing they don't overspend) but it has  reputedly taken an investment of £100 million to get there which isn't exactly chicken feed.

They also saved £2m a year by scrapping their academy a few years ago.
