I would have him back here in a flash. It's disappointing to see him struggle but like stated above he is a confidence player, if the fans are on his back he will crumble and you won't get an inch out of him. I really hoped it would work out for him at Donny....or anywhere really, as much as I'd like to see him back at Town it's very unrealistic he will be back here anytime soon.

The Bogle situation is like many others that have gone before, not just for us. How many players have not found their feet (sic) at a higher level and not been able to produce the form that they’ve previously had. We all know that, especially for a striker, confidence is a key factor and that a good player doesn’t become sh1t overnight. The numerous moves that he has had, has probably damaged his game as well as not being able to settle into a rhythm with a mangers tactics.
Would playing for hurst and in front of a set of supporters that have previously idolised him help? Who knows, but I’d think it unlikely that 1) he would want to come and 2) we could afford him.
If he wants to play at championship or higher, his career needs a mammoth set of jump leads to kick start it

He won't come here as we can't afford him and given the right club, right manager and a run of games he's better than our level.
The move to Wigan was the wrong one as he was never going to go there and catch fire from the start and score the goals that would have saved them from relegation.
Looking at what the lad has done since and where he's been I think if I where him I'd probably be sacking my agent and replacing one who's find him a proper move to a proper club.
It won't happen but I'm 110% sure Hurst could get a tune out of him.

It's like anyone in life, your potential has a ceiling. Bogle has moved more times than Beyonce's ar£e and he's done zilch, the facts are hard but that's the situation. I once put this before - Stoner once said about Rossi that "his ambition outweighs his ability" and, to me, that sums up Bogle. Great NL player, v.good Lg 2 striker but that's it, that's his natural level. Fair play to him getting the wages he's managed to command and unlike Herts, if I were him be kissing my agent every night for getting the deals he's pulled off

Mildly interesting that when Donny were relegated in 98, whilst we were having the best of times, the bottom five of the basement division looked like this:
Swansea Cardiff Hull Brighton Doncaster
Genuine question, how did we fúck it up so badly from there?
All invested in a new stadium.

It blows my mind that people wouldn't want him back here....
His 'apparent' record for us was 35 goals in 67 games... better than a goal every other game And that includes his streak of not scoring as Poojah mentions
His record hasn't been incredible since, but he's still scored goals. 5 in 13 for Portsmouth in league 1 - 2 leagues above us (he only started 6 of them 13 games)
He finished top scorer in the season he left - He left in January. 19 goals in 27 games, in the league above we currently find ourselves in!!!
Since he left, our top scorers have been JJ Hooper - 7 Wes Thomas - 11 (i would take him these days!) Hanson - 9 The shop - 4
I don't think we would get him, and think he would be great for a league 2 team that's aiming for play-offs.
But he would be the perfect signing IMO

Personally.. I wouldn’t touch him with a barge pole..not sure financially we could get him back, and questionable work rate, attitude etc (just my opinion) - But perfectly understand those who feel he’s be a good acquisition.
All about opinions innit?

From what we saw it was great League 2 striker, good NL one.
